I’ll have to see his full analysis, but it’s not just goals off the rush that are happening in higher quantity. We are all beating it to death on here, but there are higher danger chances being let up more often than not, whether or not those are all on the rush i sincerely doubt as i’ve got several goals against burned into my brain.

Anyone who watches the games can see this, but apparently if you’re not willing to pin it all on the goalies, you’re not watching the games.

Sal’s data shows sane as my bigger analysis in the other thread.

Goalies are allowed to make hard saves, part of the job some might say, especially when statistically they’re not called on to do so as much as other teams would.

Donāt show this to the people that think weāre a goalie away from winning the cup

More proof to exactly what /u/ADSWNJ and I have pointed out. They do a great job of limiting the number of chances they allow. However the chances that do get through are putrid

To be clear, this isnāt trying to say whether the defense is good or bad, itās just showing where itās weakness is. You can still argue whether the D as a whole is good or bad, because there are a lot of positive and negative stats

The thing about it is each player has both a defensive and offensive responsibility here. Hell, you could even make a case that our wingers and centers arenāt maintaining solid defensive responsibilities enough to allow our defensemen to pick up their guys which gives our goalies bad opportunities.
People saying āitās the goaliesā or āitās the defensemenā are being disingenuous to what the problem is. Itās a team wide problem that each player on the ice bears some level of responsibility for.
That being said, we have sub-par goaltending. And trying to say we donāt is as disingenuous as the first argument.
