every goal was blown coverage which is something we’ve been good at keeping under control most of the year, i think we will be tighter the rest of the game but man that sucks
NJ this season plays like shit against any other team but not at Rogers for some reason.
I know DeSmith has cooled off, but Demko has played 8 of the last 9 (only got rest on a back-to-back), and that’s flying in the face of what their plan was earlier this year

That was the worst period of defence I’ve seen this year. New jerseys first 4 shots were all grade a chances. The game should be 6-6 right now. Yikes
Last season Canucks loved their wide open pond hockey and Tocchet still has work to do to undo that
4-2 already in the first period. Lots of goals in this one. Let’s open up the ice a bit. Canucks are a better team and our record reflects that. Let’s keep pushing. Demko needs to shut the door from here on out. No more goals.

Focusing on the positive for a sec, those two PPs were the best the man advantage has looked in a minute, dangerous as hell and got to the money areas not just the perimeter, that’s an encouraging sign for the future.

I think there’s enough sample size to say that Quinn really does not seem to enjoy playing his brothers mentally. I feel like every season the games against the Devils are usually among the weakest defensively from him and it can take him a few games after to recover. Not sure if it’s a pressure thing or what but it’s noticeable. Jack on the other hand fucking loves playing Vancouver, I think we can certify him as yet another Canucks killer.
