    Re: Nino: great signing by the Jets. He's a solid winger. I used to watch him in Jr's playing for Portland Winterhawks and he had the skills then too. Way to go Nino!
    Re: Markstrom: heck….have him talk with Gally about mangled fingers….Gally took a Shea Weber slapshot a few years back and messed him up bad and missed significant time.
    Re: TBL: Stamkos is not going anywhere…unless it's to a contender. He'll wrap up his career in Tampa.

    Neck guards protect players from stray sticks, not from being KICKED in the throat with a metal skate blade.     would the NHL get a tailwind by having draft closer to start of season, leading into rookie camp and then training camp? interest from the draft would provide a reinforcing push to kick off season?
