  1. Since when can’t we use the lapel? It’s the reason women are required to wear tops underneath. This is a stupid video.

  2. 1. its a Gi not a jacket.

    2. that move if perfectly legal

    3. she should if wore something more appropriate under her gi like a rash guard

whoever made this video has no idea what they are talking about

  3. Referee, cameraman and some gentleman that bribed the other girl made this all possible. Selfless teamwork, so the world can benefit from it, real heroes.

  4. She’s grabbing the lapel, lots of chokes involve the lapel as well as holding position. It’s a shame so many videos out there that are just misleading. What’s next, don’t grip the sleeve? Lol

  5. She wasn’t losing, she was actually up on points at the beginning of this exchange. She also wasn’t cheating, nothing illegal is happening here.
You’re attacking someone’s character and you have no idea what you’re talking about.

  6. Just wear a rashguard, I dont get why do you have to show tits everywhere. I kinda hate to roll with guys who doesnt wear rushguards, its disgusting.

  7. if you check at the beginning of a match, some people try to open the opponent's lapel in order to then use it for submission

  8. Don't hate. Royce Gracie was known for using his gi sleeve for added leverage. That didn't work, though, because Sakuraba kept messing with Royce's gi. But you have to be as wildly unorthodox as Sakuraba to pull that off, I suppose.

  9. That is not at all cheating. We are taught in bjj to use the opponents jacket as a weapon against them. It can be very useful when choking out your opponent

  10. This is totally legal, there are a bunch of techniques that involve untucking your opponents gi to wrap around their body for leverage.
