At 17-20 seconds in the clip you can see all the space open for him to shoot in. It is slow motion so you have a chance to see all the real estate available to Connor, but we are watching it in SLO MO at that point, he is seeing that at high speed.
Also, watch the clip a 2nd time and pay attention the incredible speed shifts from slow to fast to slow to fast his skating is taking him.
I pray that he doesn’t get ‘Paul Kariyaed’ by a would be Scott Stevens early in his career before he has a chance to ‘fill out’ size wise. Paul Kariya would have had a much longer/better career if he hadn’t been cheap shotted into a concision.
If he can not be injured by another player and have a chance to grow he is gonna be an amazing player.
