Dylan Larkin’s 2 Goals Lifts Red Wings Past Sabres | Detroit Has 6 Wins in 7 Games & 3 Straight

The Red Winga come out fast again and punch another team in the mouth for a big lead early. This time the score was 4-0 and the team was the Buffalo Sabres. Goals from Larkin, Fabbri, Seider and Rasmussen had Detroit lookin poised for a blowout…But we know better than that. As has been the trend, Detroit tired in the 2nd, slowly allowing the Sabres back into the game. And with 10 minutes left, it was 4-3 after an electric Skinner PPG. But this time, despite a late penalty against, the Red Wings held on for the win 5-3. Alex Lyon was good again for Detroit, and he continues to mount a case for more starts. #lgrw

  1. The team plays more confident in front of Lyon. When he starts, they score early and often. I think he will have a chance by playoffs to be the #1! LGRW'S

  2. Im not upset about the 3rd period the refs had an agenda tonight and they enforced it. Those two missed hits from behind were awful and the phantom slash got called for. Then the shitty espn announcers excusing the hits by Johnskn and saying yeah clear slash by Copp when contact was a good foot away frlm the hands. Seriously why do refs have to be some of the most pathetic losers alive.

  3. The 3rd period come backs aren't just a Red Wings' issue. Look around the league, just last night there was like 3 of them. And I don't think last nights' 3rd period was a case of them getting tired. They actually had more high danger chances 5v5 than BUF. It was the penalties that killed them, and Im not going to talk about the refs lol.

  4. The Jost hit on Larkin was not only boarding but a clear charge. He dropped down from the blue line with the intention of only hitting a defenseless player. Hopefully, it'll be a player safety hearing because it's getting ridiculous league wide. Great win for the Wings though, keep it up!

  5. It’s an unbelievably high intensity game. To be at top level all the time is a struggle. When teams get a lead it’s natural to pull back a bit for rest. So, it’s going to be very hard this year, for any team, to win that Cup.

And injuries are always a factor.

    Officiating absolutely blows!
    Would a petition help?
I’ll get one started, hell a website dedicated to terrible NHL officiating needs to be created.

I don’t want to think conspiracy but they can’t be THIS incompetent can they? 🤔

  6. They’re gonna have ups and downs this year. They’re not gonna stay on a winning streak for the rest of the year, but At the moment guys, Yzerman looks like a freaking genius

  7. I've resigned myself to thinking that every game is gonna be a roller coaster. The difference this year is resilience. We were +14 last night as a team, now enjoying a +20 goal differential. 1-9 on the PP won't cut it though. This and work in our own end needs to improve. Sharks and Sens are games we need to win, with the Sharks high after beating the Rangers and Ottawa looking to continue their dominance over us. These are games we need to win.

  8. That was an admirable effort to convince us that Chiarot is actually not that good and we shouldn't give him too much credit. I mean, he's regularly over 20 minutes, but let's just say he's getting sheltered. And let's make sure to hammer him for an accidental high stick, and say nothing about Walman's unprovoked cross check to the face a few minutes later.

Stop trying so hard to criticize him, guys. He's a good hockey player.
