Media has blown this out of proportion a little bit. He is a young player and he hasn’t spent anytime in the AHL yet, let him develop his game and he will be back up with the big club when he is ready.
He is back off of injury, young players in the lineup playing well getting a look, he is doing a conditioning stint down there while they eval what they have.. pretty cut and dry, He plays very well and will be back.

He’s a young, good, developing player…with a very desireable skill set…he’ll be back soon and I think he’ll be a big part of this team for a long time.

I want Matheson to play less than 25 minutes so I can’t wait for Savard and Xhekaj to come back, but Strubble deserves 1 or 2 more weeks of NHL salary and it’ll be good for wifi if he’s dominant in the AHL
