  1. We can't get Myers out of here fast enough. If we can't trade him, make him a regular scratch. It's just painful to watch the same mistakes game after game, year after year. If Foote and Gonchar can't through to him, nobody can.

  2. Allvin has absolutely done great work. I can understand why they havenā€™t moved Myers yet. For a lengthy stretch at the start of the year, his play was acceptable. Could be they are hoping to get him back to that so they donā€™t have to spend anything to move/replace him. Resigning him at any cost would be a shock after everything this market has seen.

  3. It was obvious the NHL is making up BS excuses when they said South Korea won't be good due to timezone issues… but they were gung-ho about Beijing even though the timezone is just 1 hour apart from Korea.
This wishy-washy attitude makes the NHL look very bush league.

  4. The corruption was so bad for the last Summer Olympics in Rome that after watching the budget practically stolen with nothing to show for it, the government had to intervene in emergency mode, with more aggressive oversight, and double their budget to make it work. Eight countries dropped their bids for the upcoming 2026 Olympics in Milan and certainly skyrocketing security expenses this century have a part in that (it was one of the main points of failure of the Calgary bid, who proposed light security under the "I hope nothing bad happens" plan). You're asking host countries to spend well over a billion dollars just on security. The IOC are basically locusts traveling from city to city, to get together with developers to take taxpayers on a ride. With all the stresses on public infrastructure and budgets these days, not many democratic states are going to jump at that "opportunity" and those that do are in for a lot of backlash.

  5. Myers had his worse game in a dozen games last night. Last nights game was the worst game they have played in their own zone, a throw back game from when Green was coach, i guess just to make him comfortable. lol
