Kuzmenko is my favourite Canuck but we already have a pure goal scorer in brock boeser and boeser is better on defence and a little bit more physical. He just needs to get better on the forecheck and use his size more.
Kuzmenko is a player that he has to score and generate offense to be valuable to this team. He isn't great defensively, so can't be trusted with PK or defensive duties. These players rely on elite talent offesnive instinct and skills to drive and generate offense, which he was able to do last year. This year, he is still getting the chances, but because the puck wasn't going in for him, he thinks too much, and don't play with the instincts that made him successful last year. There were so many plays last night wree he had the puck, at a prime area and he choose to pass or wait too long for a shot. He just needs to know that if keeps shooting those pucks, eventually one will go in for him. I don't think he is as bad as people labeling him to be, because he still going to the right areas and getting the scoring chances. Biggest conern with him other than confidence is he seems to be too weak on pucks. He doesn't win puck battles and often has trouble receiving passes. Opposing team players can easily knock the puck off of him by applying more pressure. I think this is also a good wake up call for him to take his off-season training more seriously that instead of traveling all around the world and train in Bali, he should be dedicating about 2-3 weeks time for vacation/travel and then for the rest of the summer, get to a prime location NA or Europe and be more serious with training with other NHLers.
I watched the game in full.. I was mad tocchet didn’t at least throw kuzy out there for the final shift then we got stunned after such a comeback
cough Kusy for Ranev cough cough
i think tocchet has been patient with kuzmenko and he hasn't found his game. i don't know if it's bali or the puck to the face but he isn't doing the things that made him successful last year. i got a feeling karlsson was being auditioned for his spot.
Russians are some of the biggest diva's the NHL have ever seen, its good they not letting down. Maybe I'm still burned from Bure.
I like Kuz as a person, but if he can't produce or even be sound defensively, we should trade him for something.
there's another elias pettersson?? lol
You should rename this channel "TMZ"
I can see why players hate playing in Canada. Exhibit A.
Kuzmenko just needs that one game where everything goes in for him. It also doesn't help when he has very little confidence. A very dynamic forward and I hope he reaches at least 20 goals this season.
