Super depressing vid 🙁 surely, not all hope is lost.
It’s so frustrating simply due to the fact that they have such big portions of the game where they look so good 😭
Can we discuss some of the moves we'd make as armchair GM's? Who would you trade, who would you target? Are we in a full rebuild or can this squad be patched together with some fancy analytical picks?

Heartbreaking, guys… NHL fan at large following since 2015. Worked in LA hockey in the 90’s…so watched fanbase grow with Gretzky trade.
Rob Blake was a young guy I would see from my window at our rink…Kings practice ice for several seasons. 30 years later..he is Kings GM..coming out the other end of an LA rebuild.
The contrast between CBJ and Kings hard to overlook. The Kings with Rob Blake and Luc Robitaille had a vision and created a template during their rebuild. Big strong guys with a lot of structure..but much of the success is assembling a team of players who have in common certain strengths ..finding chemistry.
No good reason why Columbus cannot evolve a quality product on the ice. But what is the GM’s vision. It isn’t apparent. When you trade away guys who are team anchors..Foligno Seth Jones Josh Anderson Bjorkstrand. Cap issues, of course..but for the heart n soul guys you don’t resign you need to fill the void.
And a void is what this feels like. Plenty of young talent here. Gaudreau and Laine..are iconic and singular at their best when you have those anchor guys around them.

Just a reminder, the Jackets will put a meaningless winning streak together late in the season and will pick between 5 and 15 in the draft.
It's a little thing and I know fans can read too much into things like this..but I notice when they celebrate, it almost seems like mild relief coupled with "meh." They look miserable most of the time. And I don't believe that this is just because they are losing. They looked this way from the first game of the season. I get the feeling that most of these guys would rather be elsewhere, wins and loses aside.
