This quote is absolutely fucking insulting. Just a total loser mindset. This organization now strives for mediocrity.

Fucking fire Lane and Lou. Clean house.

  2. Makeouthiillxxx

Those positives don’t mean shit if you can’t finish the game with a win Lane. This consistent issue of blowing leads hasn’t been addressed correctly and nobody is taking accountability for it.

I don’t think I could be more pissed off than I already was. Absolutely refuses to accept any responsibility for anything. Fuck this guy, and fuck Lou and fuck ownership of this disaster of a franchise

  4. JoeBenigno

Lane: “If you ignore us losing games we should have won, we’ve won a lot!”

  5. Letsmakemoney06

I guess accepting mediocrity is ok. Ownership needs to get more involved and step up.

  6. Justanotherbrick33

Maybe it wouldn’t be so bad if we sucked in the first ten minutes instead of the last ten minutes.

  7. I feel like there is a baseball team that is the same, maybe the Reds? Owners don’t care about winning, just riding the line of mediocrity, good ol’ boys club feel, something like that?

I’m in Chicago, so I need all you who live in the area and attend games to help a brother out and just chant fire Lane all game, winning or losing who cares.

  8. I feel like I’ve heard this same speech 25 years ago from my son’s second grade coach

Lou needs to relieve Lane of his duties, season is not yet lost.

If the team was being outplayed by top teams for 50 minutes and there were a bunch of last minute heroics that eeked out those extra points, I could get behind this perspective. Instead, it feels like they’re snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

Carolina it was a goal with what, 2 seconds on the clock? Last night was an 8 minute meltdown against the worst team in the league, which by his own words was a sin to lose. The game against the Devils, again by his own words, stung and should’ve been a W.

I in no way claim to have any clue as to why this keeps happening but I feel confident saying if Trotz was still in charge there’d be more ownership over this bizarre trend.

it’s insane because, like, he’s right: this team is pretty good. they should be fucking locked-in to the 2 spot in the metro with the way they’ve been playing through 40 minutes. the small problem with that is **hockey games are 60 fucking minutes long**

  12. 9 points is not good when we should have had 18 points.

  13. inthefade2659

That’s an insult to the intelligence of any fan who reads it. He’s garbage.

  14. Someone ask lane if finishing games with overtime losses help you in the playoffs

  15. toblerownsky

An 82 game point streak of 0-0-82 still doesn’t make the playoffs.

as long as we’re all VeRy, vErY CaReFul!

    What an absolute abomination
    🤡

Positives: roster is clearly talented enough to be in the top third of the league and compete with the best

    Negative: our coaches stink

  18. scottywiper

I miss Trotz. We all do. I especially miss his press conferences. They were insightful. He’d talk about the things they messed up and needed to improve. As well as the things they did well. It meant that after bad losses you at least knew the issues were being addressed. Lane… Yikes… I know some coaches MO is to say nothing but his media work is so bad. It offers no comfort at all. And no insight at all. He sucks.

  19. Skygazer2469

You know what positive can outweigh the negative? Lambert getting the boot and Bruce Boudreau (or fuck it, anyone else with any HC experience) coming in.

  20. oddly_colored_beef

Shut up Capuano, nobody cares about battle level when you’re losing games
