I read a story like this on line but why would he need to pay them back they got rid of him.
He will be paid the balance of the contract, less his subsequent contract value, the same as Kane. Will be considered wrongful termination.

Why try invest time and money through players assistance program to a 38 year old…He's old enough to know better…lol.
As far as playing in the NHL again, his age may be a determining factor–after all is said and done, he may not be afforded another chance to play. How does the whole repayment of monies work, tho? If there was some sort of morality clause, then, I guess, I could see him having to give back, but, that doesn't seem right. Thanks for the update ,looking foward to the conclusion of this situation.
The Blackhawks are bring cheap and petty by asking for the money back. Perry should fight it through litigation. The Chicago organization will be exposed as a bad employer when the truth comes out in the court process. It is better that the Hawks organization allow Perry to have the money because it has to salvage whatever of it's reputation to fans and players that want to play for them in the future
I didnt like the fact that someone said Corey Perry was banging Bedards mom..that was a nasty rumor to start. People need to get off the couch and get outside away from the TV and internet, sick minded people lol on a serous note. Imo they could have made Perry join the player assistance program first before termination….idk what exactly happened though so not entirely sure.
In my opinion the signing bonus is just that and has nothing to do with salary. That bonus is his money end of story. The salary and remaining wages should not be paid. However that is for the union to help decide to protect player contracts in the present and future.
