  1. What is up with Toronto fans. Toronto was Goons and stupid vs Vancouver and now Kadri is stupid vs mini. U dumbass Toronto fans wanna know the DIFFENCE between the 2 hits of kadri and gionta . KADRI drives through the BLUE PAINT throwing his elbow through the head. gionta made accidental contact with riemer OUTSIDE the BLUE PAINT. I swear yo… Toronto fans smoke crack jus like the mayor.

  2. Kadri did deserve a suspension, it's just annoying when there are so many inconsistencies in Shanahan's decisions. This play was very similar to the Kadri hit, so it's easy to see how players are confused as to what plays they can and can't make. I don't mind Kadri getting 3 games, but it would be nice if one of the guys who run Reimer every fucking night would sit a few as well.

  3. this hit and kadris should both get 1 game but no kadri gets 3 and gionta got 0… makes sense

  4. I can't see where people are saying this is the same as the Kadri play, Backstrom was back in his net, whereas Reimer was on the edge of the crease borderline out of it; yes it was contact to the head and probably deserved at least 1 game. Kadri's was him flying into the crease and making no attempt to get out of the way or stop, he just lowered himself for contact and tensed up, which is why he was fine and backstrom is out with a concussion. It happed at a different speed, in a different situation, with different reactions by the players; stop saying it's comparable because it's not. (No, I'm not a Leaf hater.)

  5. Gionta is not a dirty player, its a contact he could not and did not avoid cause puck might have come loose and that's his job SCORE GOALES.

  6. I really think that should not have been a penalty, there was definitely no target to the head. The goalie has to be held responsible on some level. The other players have to keep an eye on the puck and be aware of what's going on the play. No one would ever score if everyone had to always face the goalie and make sure they don't bump into him, especially when the goalie is the one that jumps out and pushes forward out of the crease as a player is skating right in front of him.

  7. As a Bruins fan, I'll hate the Habs until the day I die. But if you watch that at real speed, there is absolutely no intention on Gionta's part to cause any harm to Reimer there. It's hard to justify a suspension when something is completely accidental, not to mention the fact that Reimer moves out of his crease before contact is made.
