This is what we want to see..

OK Guys, it’s time to take a look at Juraj Slafkovsky’s individual performance from the Montréal Canadien’s last game against the Seattle Kraken. Slafkovksy looked very engaged on his new line with Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield, he did NOT register a point, however, he played a key role on his line’s success..

  1. I'm not looking at Slaf's stats now; it's more about his improved performance which is a gradual process. It took Guy Lafleur 3 years to blossom & unlike Slaf, Lafleur grew up playing on NHL sized rinks that we have in N America. Also, we need players that have a positive attitude which will rub off on other teammates. And he has this.

  2. Honestly, I didn’t understand the hate Slavkovsky was getting early on. It was like watching a puppy learning to walk outside of its litter. You can’t be mad he hasn’t learned the change of pace his first season out.
He has learned now to keep his head up and take less full speed hits. He’s learned he’s bigger than most and is now using his body to his advantage. He’s learned the NHL game flow by leaps and bounds over last season and his confidence is sky high. Most of all his maturity for his age can’t be bought and that will serve him well not only in the NHL but in life.
The kids a Beast and will only get better with time, the sky’s the limit!

  3. He will be a reliable NHLer with 2 All Starr appearances in his mid-twenties. But he will never be a top line scorer, but he doesn't have to with the right teammates.

  4. Tell a lie often enough, people will start believing it's true. He's so good, he has 7pts in 25 games. The kid's averaging 1.3 shots 3:37/gm and that's horrendous. You talk about his physicality, he averages less that 2 hits per/gm with 1.6. and only 8 take aways all year so your blowin' not air. At 6-3 and 230lb, these numbers are unacceptable. He's averaging .8 blocked shots/gm. You and other fan boys are over the moon with his play and say he's playing better but he has 1pt in the last 5gms and sports a -3. But let's forget the inconvenient stat/facts, I think Slaf looks lost. He's behind the play a lot. He will not carry the puck 15ft, beat someone one on one , or create a great scoring opportunity. He does NOT have quick feat and takes time to hit full speed. I ask this simple question fans of his never answer: what is expected from this kid…how will he finish the year…what would numbers would determine success or failure. It is my opinion the Habs are doubling down on the catastrophic mistake they made last year keeping him here. The Habs took him 1st overall based on his performance in one Tournament! This kid does not engage abd he's never the first on the puck. You can blow his horn all you want but answer my question please. I doubt you will because it expose the lies.

  5. This is what happens when fans get spoiled with too many elite young players in the league. Expections are way too high now a days. Slaf is only 19 freakin years old and people already want him to put up 80 pts.

  6. Hes playing very solid all around game right now. They should keep him with Suzuki and Caufield for now, hes a left shot LW with good size so really he should always be on that line. Its too bad Dach and Newhook got hurt that line looked insane to start the season with Slaf.

  7. hey junkie i watched the laval game last night and xhekaj was brutal defensively and and he ran away from imama the black dude and didnt stick up for the little guys on the team i personally think his both shoulders are a little weak now so i dont no how effective he will be in the future ?? so i think his days for this are numbered 🤜💪i no you totally love him and all the habs fans something is suspicious when he dont want to go with imama !!

  8. I'm sure this will be unpopular but Habs fans tend to go crazy when he has a good game or makes a good play. The bar seems very low for a first round pick. I'm actually a Juraj fan, but the breathless accolades when he makes a good play remainds me of parents going crazy when their baby starts to crawl. I will agree we don't know what he cieling is. Habs management is no better, Huraj gets a long, very long leash while they demote Arber, who played better than Juraj, everytime he makes a penalty.

  9. Said from the start ; Slafkovsky is going to mature slowly compared to some others but when he hits his ceiling he's going to be a beast to play against. He's making pretty steady progress and he's going to be worth every minute we've waited. Hoping to see Arber back soon ! LA is going to be a real tough one to win ! GHG

  10. I didn't see much difference between Dvorak Caufield and Suzuki Caufield playing with Slaf. First line minutes is good to see tho.

  11. Monahan's 2 goals were his first points in 10 games……………odd you don't see anyone complaining about him.

  12. I personally thought that was the best game he has played, even without putting up points I think he made a real difference and helped Montreal win this game, I thought he was the best forward on the line that night as well he was physical, he was making smart plays, drew a penalty that ended in a pp goal, he has had good game before, but in all those games there seems to be glaring mistakes during the game, the one against Seattle I thought he was amazing, when he wasn’t making a exceptional play he was making a smart play, in the right spots or just getting the puck to a safe area, very good game from him hope to see another good one tonight

  13. Slafkovsky; looks like he fits like a puzzle on the 1st line. He deserves to be there with Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield. I think Slaf is comfortable.

  14. I think Slaf was struggling with motivation until the last 2 weeks….where he has shown more grit and determination. I don’t know what turned the switch, if it was just a spoiled brat under-achieving on the 3d and 4th lines, and pouting…..I hope not. Team needs consistancy, and focussed work ethic. I hope his switch stays “On”. Alot of line juggling, and we’re almost halfway thru the season. Whip them young lads hard, toughen them up, so they all can play at 105% for the whole game.

  15. I feel like every game for the last 3 weeks I’ve said “that’s his best game yet” afterwards. Good to see him getting rewarded for playing well.

  16. We were at the game on Monday. Slaf was one of the best players on the ice. I had a great laugh when crowd outside broke into a FUXC SHANE WRIGHT chant after the game.

  17. He falls down a lot, but I think that's a balancing thing. As his weight goes up & down, while learning at the same time.

  18. Legit was telling my dad how amazing he looked, Unfortunate that he wasn't rewarded for his play, but he 100% looked like an absolute star for the first time by my count. If he can start playing like that on a consistent basis, the habs are going to be a wagon very soon

  19. was watching Laval vs Belleville, if habs don't get offensive help in the next two years – we are in for a long decade. good D prospects but not much i saw in the way of O prospects.

  20. It's just the toxic fan base that's wanting him to be a point a game player already. They know very well that he's not going to be yet. Too many have gotten pretty comfortable on their keyboards😅 he's going to be a good NHLer

  21. I liked the lines last game. Slaf with Suzi Q and Goal Caufield is where we wanted him to end up one day and it looks like that day has arrived. He looked better there than anyone not named Dach or Monahan this season.

  22. I think Slaf is gradually getting better but we will see how long he stays on the 1st line. As long as he continues to improve I'm good with where he's at but if doesn't stand out after a few more games and 1st line doesn't produce then another shakeup may happen

  23. Manage our expectations here….Slav is not spectacular at all. But the NHL player that he will be is on the way.

  24. He will get better ,he has to adapt , remember Cam Neely needed more time to get his big body going too. Vancouver traded Cam Neely because they were not convinced he would be good in the NHL. We can’t give up on him.

  25. He looked good tonight vs LA. Despite another 4-0 loss to the "Chrome Domes", he was probably the best player on the ice for the Habs
