  1. I just want the points to start coming for slaf man… like obviously hes playing well sucks hes not being rewarded

Guhle has had a ROUGH go with it as of late

Slaf had a solid game, felt like he was the only forward strong enough to go against LA’s physically imposing players, we’re clearly missing Dach in that regard. Otherwise a pretty tough game against a contender.

The Kings are a suffocating defensive team, not a great matchup given how anemic Montreal’s offense can be at the best of times.

Last time Montreal played LA, they looked like they were clearly outmatched for almost the whole game. Tonight started different. Yeah, similar result, and definitely not how I wanted it to end, but the Habs had 18 shots on net in that last game; they eclipsed that mark about halfway through this one, even if they didn’t get much more than that by the end. At least there were excellent chances and posts being hit!

The Kings grind you down with consistency and by the third Montreal couldn’t keep up. I enjoyed the first two periods though, lol

  4. that’s a good fucking team who plays a great system and it works

Solid effort to start the game, hate watching games where we carry to play, creat chances, don’t bury then give up goals. Tough loss for sure, but hey Kings are a contender and we’re not so guess that’s the reality. Slaf looked great tonight that’s my positive takeaway

Slaf having the funniest season, on pace for like 20 points but i’m becoming more and more confident about him every game. He’s got Armia’s puck protection but with better vision, skating, and the ability to make plays at speed, in 3-4 years he’ll be a unicorn.

    *BAD*

    – The Habs didn’t play bad persay but this is such a bad matchup. Obviously the kings are tough for any team but you really can’t outwork them that’s just how their system is. You have to be a bit creative which the Habs aren’t.

    – Really a game where you can see the difference in pure offensive talent. Habs just don’t have that. They have one pure offensive player and even he is fighting it a bit right now. This team really needs to finally get some good finishers because that’s a glaring absence.

    – Sooofffffffffff. Very sofffffffff. Need more UMPH in the defensive zone.

    – It is cliche but there was a lot of bad luck.

    – Guhle is struggling a bit not playing bad but he has hit a bit of a cold streak defensively. Whatevs

    – I have no idea what anyone would see in Dvorak. You guys know my opinions on Anderson, but I can at least appreciate that he does stuff beyond the score sheet etc. This is a big hole for the Habs at Center ice. I hate talking in absolutes but I’ll do it here just not at anywhere near the level he needs to be given his lineup spot.

    *GOOD*

    – I don’t think many Habs players really played “bad”. It just seems they are outmatched which isn’t the end of the world right now. Overall, the team just obviously isn’t as good as the Kings.

    – If you skipped this game you didn’t really miss much. I guess that’s good?

    – Slafkovsky I am not just writing this for the sake of writing it because I know some people like to analyze the good or the bad when it comes to him but he was a beast tonight, and that is against a team that is everything I said above. Really strong on the boards and set up his teammates. He could have had a few points his linemates gotta finish. Excellent game.

  8. douce_abeille

Slaf looked so good, man. I love him. He’s going to be a beast. Winning battles with 3 guys on his back . Sweet passes. I don’t know what happened but his progression in the last dozen games ?wow. Not even 70 games in the NHL, 19 years old.

  9. 6BLSSDMF6

Send the whole D group to laval with X to work on their defensive play

  10. Another game where we gave up the first goal. Wasn’t even over after 2-0. I tought we played well but playing from behind game after game is getting frustrating.

    GG

  11. tehsdragon

If I had a nickel for every time the Habs lost convincingly 4-0 to the LA Kings, I’d have 2 nickels… which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it happened twice

  12. DivinePotatoe

If the Kings don’t win the cup I’m going to be fucking stunned.

  13. Sportsguy1223

Definitely not his fault or anything but you would really like to see Monty stop one of those in the first. Not soft goals, but the team has a strong first it would be nice to come out down just 1

  14. WintertimeLivingEasy

people at Bell Centre booing because the Habs, a rebuilding team with a lot of injuries, got crushed by the hottest team in the league.

    good job

    terrible toxic fans

  15. lacoupe25

Guhle’s stat card game score the 4th-worst (by a fraction) of any player in any game this season. So 18 players x 32 teams x 25 games. That’s 4th-worst of 14,400 player-games. Truly an accomplishment.

  16. backwardzhatz

Just gotta stay the course with Slaf because eventually that line is gonna have a game and score like 4 goals. Every passing game he looks more and more like that legit #1 overall pick, just gonna take a little time.

  17. Laflamme_79

I may be crazy, but does anyone else feel everyone is very hesitant to pass to Slaf?
