it blows my mind!!!! in any sport the athlete can claim: NFL; soccer; tennis; but a surfer its not allowed to claim… common now!!!! Its about his moment , not the spectators' …… and if he thinks God is the reason for his good performance, so let be. Enjoy watching surfing contest and respect the reaction of the surfers. Different cultures, different claims, different beliefs.

Good long term for the sport a Brazilian got up .. but on the day pound for pound Julian is a much better surfer hands down . He didn't stick the second turn on the first wave and frankly didn't get the waves & rhythm, but he can be a world champ for sure .

@numerrita and many others and I tell you what, right now in my home break there are dozens of mini grommets going NUTS on the air, and with Gabe's world title, finally the biggest brands are now aiming these kids and supporting them so they can reach the big stage. And they will. So shut the fuck Up ,soon enough we gonna have 3 stops in the calendar all around South America because in a matter of 3-5 year half of the world tour is gon be composed of br's. And id love to meet you and your hate when you pay us a visit. My country is fucking gorgeous and we are up to the biggest in the world in tourism. Basically we live where you spend your money on vacations. So better swallow your tears because theres still a lot of wins to come for us and its gonna happen whether you gringos like it or not, because we have the better surfing. Bye

How was Toledo’s last wave not a ten?
I never understood why some people hate so much the surfers' claims. Does anybody know if there's a reason for the hate? Like a historical reason in the sport. I personally don't mind and actually find quite funny to see how hysterical people get about it. If there's no real reason for the hate, te claims aren't anybody's business, really. If the surfer is happy, let him do whatever. I really want someone to prove me wrong, otherwise it makes no sense at all.
