That turnover was absolutely brutal but we still won the game.
Mayfield was still a +1 with an assist on the Barzal goal right after his turnover, and the Isles also out-chanced Columbus 9-7 when he was out there.
I get that it was an awful turnover and it’s been rough so far for Scotty but we gotta try and be more positive as a fan base. He’s playing hurt and with a partner he’s known for a week.

Scott Mayfield has been and always will be a perfectly fine bottom pair defenseman.
I feel like we’re a bit spoiled – have you *seen* what other teams roll out on their bottom pairing?
