  1. The greatest dynasty in the history of professional sports , nba nfl mlb or nhl belongs to the New York Islanders. There is no other team in any sport that has won 19 consecutive playoff series. We won 4 consecutive stanley cup championships and 5 straight finals appearances. Lets be honest when we were going for the drive for 5 in 84 …..game 1 could have gone either way anybody would tell you it was a fluke goal in game 1 that gave the oilers the 1-0 win. Game 2 , a nassau county 6-1 drubbing.3 straight games in edmonton???? NAH if the next 2 were in edmonton and not 3 consecutive games in edmonton we win the cup. 3 straight games in edmonton is clearly a unfair advantage.Either way, the Islanders are TRUE ROLE MODELS for their enormous accomplishments unparalleled in the history of professional sports. We should all aspire in whatever profession we are to become like the islanders such a enormous accomplishment in life is almost unattainable yet we did it. Long Island truly owes the islanders a debt of gratitude, to our coach Al Arbour and Gm Bill Torrey and our players.

  2. lol I kid you not….Up 4-2 at the end of the 2nd…..I turned it off. I couldnt bring myself to watch the third.
Happy for the win, but I will get excited when I start to see a pattern of solid structure in consecutive 3 periods.
7 isnt too bad for a team that everyone says cant score.

  3. How can this team be worth $17.5B? That’s far more than the valuation of the Yankees or Cowboys! Something seems amiss.

  4. Great show thank you Gil, Consistency this is a big month we play Pittsburgh and Washington twice, I still think we need a Coach, Lambert is clueless !

  5. All credit to our guru GM. we need couple experienced players in early forties and cup is ours😂😂😂 can you believe that we are on the third place in Metropolitan ……this ligue SUCK

  6. Saturday night will be a big opportunity for the islanders to make a statement and break the King’s road winning streak. Motivation should not be a problem for this game.

  7. Good morning team. Gil, this was a fun game to watch and hearing your energy and excitement this morning matches mine. Wow! We certainly need that win. Going to the 3rd period up by two goals, I too was like everyone else. I had my doubts, but hung in there, even when Columbus scored the 1st goal of the period. I woke up my wife on Bo's first goal with a yelling WOW!! When I finally went to bed she said, "I guess we won." It's going to be important to have a similar performance against a better Kings team. Fingers crossed!! Everyone have a great weekend and enjoy the game. We'll talk about it on Monday, win or lose. Until then.. Let's Go Islanders!!

  8. Great win. The question is Gil, do we have a team that can do this going forward or was this a one off situation. 57 games to show themselves and us the fans.

  9. Hi Gil, I just want to thank you for doing the islanders videos..I am retired so in the morning I have my coffee and I turn you on 🎉 you really like what you do and that’s a good thing 🎉keep up the fantastic work!! Last night I only turned the game on at 2 to 2 i just can’t believe how many goals they been scoring, I do like it lol thanks again for another great show 🎉let’s go islanders ❤

  10. Finally! Geeeezusss.
I have to give hero to Cal. That tying goal loosened the whole team up and they started playing with confidence again.
I guess there is no goat because they went on to win, but what if they had lost? I have a goat and another that gets a little slack due to inexperience. Mayfield and Reilly. Both failed to protect the left post, something that happens way too often. On CB's 2nd goal, Reilly is covering Fantilli as he enters the zone, then releases him to pick up a player who is already covered instead of getting net front and preventing the cross crease pass back to Fantilli, who had a wide open net to shoot at. Hell, he had the whole damn left side to himself. On the 3rd goal, Mayfield chokes badly on a slow…VERY slow…cross crease pass to Fantilli. WTF? Butch said the puck hopped over Scotts stick, but it didn't. It slid flat as a pancake past his spastic stick, between his legs and right to Fantilli. Mayfield' play has been horrible lately. Give him a good talking to and a rest for a game or 2.

  11. Gil, when Aho returns, Bolduc sits … in watching this team Bolduc just seems to be the weakest D … Lambert needs to play Reilly more.. also, Gauthier needs to stay in the lineup and so does Fasching … when Martin is healthy he and Clutter need to alternate sits so they can be fresh down the road .. play the youth! Let’s go Islanders!!

  12. we turned the corner last night…and despite our beginning the season with terrible third period collapses…we are in second or third in the metro and the rest of the teams reeling…we got em right where we want em!

  13. Probably our most enjoyable game, finally putting a team to the sword and not slipping up in 3rd, but pouncing on it. Need more complete games henceforth. In general it feels like we are almost there, but not quite there. May need to make some trades to take a step up. I would not be adverse to see Wahlstrom and Pageau moved on.

  14. Im confused about the sale of the team. I think the reporting is saying ''the sale of 10% of his stake in the hockey team to an unidentified individual at a $1.75 billion valuation.'' This means to me that the Team is valued at 1.75 billion and he bought 10% of it at that evaluation. so he would have paid 175 million.

  15. Hi Gil! 2 points in the bank and that’s that! I’ve said it all year long—-this is this team’s last go at it! Regardless of the unfathomable multi dreadful losses, this is their last chance with this group. Good win, maybe a “Statement 3rd period”? I think so. However running it back next year is unthinkable! Some guys just have to say goodbyes and some must be traded. Salary cap up 4.2 and go after Nylander—all out! A quick re-tool and better can be easily accomplished. I’ve said it before, this season, is a season for sentiment and goodbyes. Let’s root them on and pray to the hockey gods they can do something special. If not—-we know what needs to be done. Enjoy your weekend Gil! Ps—The Count will not be getting fired Gil! Why? I’ve never seen a coach in any sport withstand losses like this and still be coaching. Take care!!

  16. Not to thrown a wet blanket over all the great enthusiasm here, but the Jackets are a last place team and were missing EIGHT regulars due to injury or sickness. Tomorrow night's game v the Kings will be a better test for us. I know its been a rough patch for us, but last night's game was 4K short of a sellout. Pretty bad.
