  1. First everyone says about taking too many penalties go look at his last 5 games in the NHL 0 penalties is that because MSL had a talk with him if so looked like it worked and then he got injured and you sent him down anyway
Give your head a shake boys Arber on the team makes everyone on both teams play different and I’m sure the boys in that locker room wants him back as much as me and of course the Junkie let’s hope it’s a short stay

  2. We have to remember that Caufield was also sent to the minors at one point, albeit in a way different circumstance. I do hope it's nothing more than a stint for him to improve his defensive game but it does seem a bit suspiscious. I like to think that they are just freeing up a spot on the D to see how others do (Strubble being the biggest example) .

  3. I think it’s certain things they want him to focus on plus his X factor is going to be more needed while we are contending. Although I don’t like it, I can understand that logic.

A lot of the NHL big boys have a target on his back. Hard to hone particular skills in those conditions. Good for Xhekaj, bad for us!

  4. Arber threw zero hits in the Laval game so definitely not himself… if MSL is trying to tame him then it is a stupid move…

  5. If worst case scenario, they DO trade him away, who's gonna step up physically on the team when needed? Xhekaj is a valuable piece to this rebuild and I hope KH sees that. Getting rid of him would only prolong the rebuild unless the return is TOO GOOD to pass up on, then maybe i'd understand.

  6. I love the whole "he's getting bottom pair minutes" argument. You guys forget that in the long term plan, our pairings would be
    Hutson Reinbacher
    Guhle Mailloux
    Xhekaj ????

Hes 5th in the rotation anyway. Bottom pair minutes are what hell get long term

  7. Normal injury procedure for a young guy! Laval needs to sell tickets. They are sending Arby to cook some Arbey's a little a buildup a new style and mix of defense-roughman

  8. Maybe it's less about not liking his game than seeing untapped potential in him. Maybe the Habs brass would rather him to take a step back now to take 2 steps forward for next season. Whatever it is, I sure he he doesn't get traded. I really like him too.

  9. as hard it is to say and I want Xhekaj on this team more then well most , but to be honest everyday I think with all the moose shit covering things up I think it might be P.K. the second round ffs !!

  10. Wifi take good penalties, it's not like he takes em while on the offense. Im pissed at the whole situation. Wth is St-Louis thinking? Caufield cost us three goal cause he was offside trying to cheat a little, as he been sent down? We all love Wifi, we love what he brings to the team and we need some toughness, our team is soft as fuck. Hope it will get resolved real fast.

  11. Discipline. It's all about discipline or a lack of it. You have to have loads of it to be an effective, productive pro hockey player. Arber needs to work on that part of his game.

  12. Let him play the season in Laval and get a lot of minutes. It will help a ton. He's got to learn to beat the lesser opponents first and because he missed his development season last year, better have him do it this year than no development at all.

  13. Let’s not drink the George L koolaid

If it’s a miscommunication from management to the player about picking his spots more and adjusting a bit they need to clarify that.
If Xhekaj is playing poorly in laval still after that that’s on him.

  14. I'm really starting to hate MSL more and more. He's reminding me of Ducharme: Make horrible lines, sometimes even make lines that make sense, doesn't matter, shuffle the players around every game!

  15. I think fans and the media are reading way to much into this young players get sent down to the ahl all the time the habs have a lot of young defenceman and they need to get a look at all of them . I love Arby up with the habs but realistically if he was drafted by the habs a few years ago he would have immediately been in Laval to build his game but he just happened into a situation where there was room on the blue line , he will be back better than ever

  16. Maybe the No Professional experience coach MSL should spend some time in the minors to Learn
how to Coach at the Pro level 😮

  17. If the Habs trade the Sheriff they will regret it , he is exactly what this team needs ,some badass attitude and the size to back it up

  18. He needs to change up his game and stop taking so many unnecessary penalties. He and MSL argued about that apparently.

  19. I’ve convinced myself that they’re just showcasing all the other LD so they can trade a few…and selling a bunch of #72 jerseys. Some chemistry with Mailloux would be an added bonus but the 90% pay cut must be an extra kick in the nuts.

  20. We will not know now if it’s a on ice or off ice issues, or a trade which you have to listen. Montreal defensive core is strong up and coming. Time will tell. Business over passion.

  21. I think they told him to change his game. Now i dont really hate the idea that Arby will play maybe a tiny bit more conservatively. But what makes him a great asset is his physicallity, and this aproach might not be the best for hsi confidence

  22. The decision to send Xhekaj down to the AHL shows a real lack of experience throughout the coaching staff. We all know they’re newbie’s at coaching, but I thought they have enough NHL playing experience to notice a defensive stud when they see one. Maybe the coaching staff should be sent down to AHL for some experience.
