Not if we both make the cup final! Wait, can a team make a cup final without winning once on the road in either the regular season or the playoffs? We'll have to get some loser points on the road otherwise even winning the rest of our home games would give us a max of 68 points…if we get loser points in the rest of the road games too that would put us to 99 points and it's pretty unlikely to end up with home ice until the cup final with 99 points…skimming through the last few 82-game seasons that's either a wildcard team or above one division's 3-seed.
Before doing the draft profiles, it would be fun to do a speculative episode about who we can trade and what kind of returns are possible. The NJ pick is looking like a 2nd rounder and the Penguins pick (I predict them to slide as the season goes on) might get postponed to next year. So other than the top-3 picks, it's hard to know which draft-eligible players might be realistic for us.
"Discombobulated" is a good term to describe current Sharks team chemistry. You cannot trade your way out of such a funk. It will take more time and patience than most Sharks fans have. The 2 minute long 5 on 3 powerplay with no shots by Sharks is a clear sign that this power play is toothless and lobotomized in hockey IQ terms.
