Idk, I don’t think it’s insane to hope for the same player that New York had last year at best and if not, hey, we’re only paying like 2.7 mil and we got room to make moves at the deadline and we can eject him at the end of the year if it’s not a good fit and his hip and talent are gone. I don’t see any downside to the deal aside from maybe that Rasmussen or someone is gonna lose minutes and frankly I’m super ok with that the way everyone outside the top two lines has performed outside of Daniel Sprong and maybe Robby Fabbri since he’s been back everyone else is replaceable and frankly an average replacement might be better for the team than some of them. So, it’s worth the investment in basically nothing to get him and give him a few weeks to learn the system and see if he’s able to go in practice and if he is see what he’s able to do on the ice and if it’s even remotely close to what he’s capable of this is a grand slam home run and if he’s capable of 30 points the next 50 games or whatever then it’s a triple or double and if it’s less then ya know whatever we lost a few man games from Klim Kostin and nothing of value was lost. The worst case here is him keeping a rookie from coming up and even then the wings clearly don’t think they’re ready right now or they wouldn’t have signed 4 extra guys they probably didn’t need in the offseason anyways so.
The only thing I really like about this signing is the knowledge 88 brings with him. If he can work with some of the younger guys ( Like Raymond ) and impart something them then it could be a worthwhile endeavor.
His insight hes going to have on the team; just keep him away from cab drivers. Kane will be humble and knows this is perfect for him. What signing has Yzerman made this year that you questioned? Use your noggin as if Yzerman doesnt understand.
It’s 2023 hip resurfacing is such a non issue anymore. My grandma had her hip resurfaced and was waking a day later. I think a hockey player with the best medical access in the world is going to be fine.
This segment told me everything i need to know about Kenny's hockey takes. It's a zero risk signing of a future Hall of Famer who literally has insane hockey IQ and chemistry with our best scorer.
Lol Kane would've had the 2nd most points on the team last year. For $2.75M we are potentially getting a guy who could contribute at a top 6 role and Kenny is acting like we just paid him a $5×5
Kenny sounds hurt for some reason. Bro, we all got over the like '12 or '13 WCF against Chi, you should too. This can only help… This is what you get when you get a bitter hockey fan talking to guys who know nothing about hockey. Just the energy and hockey knowledge Kaner brings alone is worth that contract.
Jesus dude, relax. If this doesn't work out, we are pretty much in the same spot as we are in right now. Raymond and Larkin are starting to click, Veleno is playing alright with them and I think they can improve. Kane comes in and is even 50% of what he's been in the past, on a line with Debrincat and I would assume JT Compher? That is a duel 1st-2nd line threat the Wings have not had in quite some time. Frees up the possibility for a Spronge-Fabbri-Perron 3rd line. And this doesn't even bring up the man advantage where Kanes' possible lack of agility isn't going to mean as much. I get it, it's been a dark 10 years for Hockeytown and not a lot has worked out but this really could work out in our favor. With how tight the Atlantic is getting and is going to be, you do not turn down this move, especially if Kane is willing to take the term and money we gave him.
Out of all conversations I've seen so far in regards to Kane, there really isn't a lot of people jumping up and down for him. A lot of people have actually quite low expectations of him coming back. He seems like he is just mad that he is Patrick Kane. He definitely helps at least a little bit which is what they need, just a little help.

Serious Question: When is Kenneth Cott getting his own show?
Know one has come back from rbhis kind of Sergey, but low risk high reward. Prayers that he has a good comeback and stays healthy.
Kenny knows nothing. Its a win win.

Remember that other black hawk we had cris chelios the rest is history
It’s a low-risk deal for the RW.

"Mistakes were made"…one of my favorite Rico phrases.

I don't trust anyone named Ken to evaluate this team or any team for that matter.
DON’T TALK TRASH ABOUT BAGEL FRAGEL IT WAS FIRE BACK IN THE DAY
Patrick Kane should be like the Larry Murphy addition in 96-97.

These people are miserable human beings. Nobody is expecting 09 Kane. We are all now dumber for listening to this.
Kenny almost cried during this segment. What a blithering fool.

I've never heard someone act so negative about a move while claiming they don't hate it
Kenny with the Hockey Hipster vibes lol. “I liked that band before they hit it big”
