Love to see that he’s coming out of the start of the year slump. Absolutely beautiful goal

  2. Every non Oilers fan in this subreddit hears the music from the Omen when they watch this clip.

… IT has RETURNED… (demonic chanting)

  3. He’s good. With my help… he could best the best.

  4. CrotchSwamp94

Dude is just out of this world. So glad I get to watch him jn his prime.

  5. Cultural-Loss-855

I do feel he wants his name on the Cup someday. Also, bad defense.

  6. I feel for Minnesota. It’s like when you play HUT against a guy that pays for HUT

Hahahaha! It’s been said and you all know. But take it in even if you hate the oilers. We are witnessing history. Just like anyone who watched Wayne in his prime, it’s something magic. As good as any other top 10 player is. McJesus just clearly is a step or 9 above the rest.

Edit. I thought of this earlier today. What if… this early season struggle for the oilers is their failure that pushes them to the next level. Aka Columbus embarrassing tampa. Vegas embarrassing Colorado. Both of which lead to cups. You need to fail before you succeed. I dont know that Edmonton failed in the way previous winners did, or maybe mcdavid is so good they needed to fail a couple times to offset hit brilliance.

I sound like a oiler fan and mcdavid knob gobbler…but I’m not. I don’t want them to succeed but sometimes the writing is on the wall….maybe I’m wrong.

That hit by Kane was unfair…no penalty, deserved 5.

  9. Prof_Seismitoad

Is he gonna be the first player to get a max contract in the nhl?

How does Minnesota stop that play? I wanted Spurgeon to let Hyman keep going to the goal and switch over to challenge McDavid. Middleton would then have to help guard against McDavid shooting right in front of him, or passing it by him to Hyman, which is asking a lot, but probably better than backpedaling/flat-footed against the best skater in the NHL?

He started out slow and it made people think “is this the year he comes back to reality?” but nah he’s still the best by far and guaranteed, if healthy, he’ll lead the league in points…again

Why did he have to do that to Flower? Flower is good noodle.
