  1. And to look at this knowing that this is what ended his career is sad. He was a hell of a player. Gonna miss him. Happy retirement #55

  2. Everyone here cuz he just retired? Even though im a habs fan and hated him when he was a bruin…respected hockey player all the way..hope ur okay👍🏼

  3. Just herd the news his career is over didn’t expect to see this video to be this gut punching. Hope he can still see and live life as he did before peacefully.

  4. Congrats on a great career Johnny. Sucks it had to end this way. Thanks so much for your time on the isles, you’re a warrior and will always be one of my favorite players.

  5. If the league had shutdown 2 weeks prior he'd still be playing. That is so unfortunate and such a brutal injury that will affect him for the rest of his life. So unfortunate great career cut short

  6. Damn dude. This ended the career of someone that was involved in my childhood era of hockey. New players coming in and old players leaving. Sad to see it happen this way.

  7. It's understandable that people is mostly concerned of Boychuck, but I can't but think how terrible Lehkonen must have felt when that happened, and how he feels now. Of course it was an accident but still. Take care guys, both of you.

  8. Why is Boychuk still on the Islanders roster? Long term injury reserve, so not playing but getting a paycheck, the Islanders needed his contract money to give them some money to sign a player that could help them out. Replacing Boychuk would be almost impossible and wish it never happened to him but I want to see the Islanders win.
