Dylan Larkin Knocked Out After Mathieu Joseph Hit, David Perron Ejected From Crosscheck on Artem Zub

Dylan Larkin gets knocked out cold after Mathieu Joseph hits him. Right after, David Perron crosschecks Artem Zub and he gets 5 minute misconduct and an ejection from the game.

  1. This looked like soccer game flop!! Ha!! There’s no way. He was pushed at best from the side. Larkin might consider the WWF in the offseason. The cheap shot was by Perron of Detroit. That should warrant a suspension.

  2. I have no skin on either side but man did the refs blow that call. Wow. NHL needs better officials. What a joke. That was a shot to the head. Sure send Perron to the showers but that was a shot to the head and needs to be called.

  3. why does a guy who crosschecks a player get ejected from the game but not the guy who knocked out Dylan Larkin NHL is so crazy about this.

  4. The spot where the corner of the jaw meets the neck is literally the lights out button. Doesn't take much if hit in just the right spot. Neither of the two Ottawa players appeared to do anything intentionally egregious. I think the refs made the right call. Hope Larkin checks out ok.

  5. The punch from Kelly was just as brutal as the hit from Joseph. Larkin was cross-checked by both of them in the head. Perron knows better, drop the stick and gloves and go at it. The officials were terrible tonight.

  6. You'd think Red Wings fans would actually be smart and know what a crosscheck is, but based off of these comments apparently not.

  7. Unless something happened here I didn't there was clearly no intent to injure. It was just a freak play. Scary. Fans are emotional but that doesn't make Joseph a dirty player here.

  8. If these two guys get let off I for one while I always want the best for everyone, would feel a lot less bad if some of these less than clean players who take advantage of guys to give themselves an easier game (i.e. Bergeron slashing Larkin in the back of the knee while he was down away from the play last year during that home n home) I'm just not gonna feel bad about that. Matt Cooke should have been pulled off the ice way before he ended that guys career with the skate.
Fine, give the islanders 4 goals on one scrum but protect our damn best guy. The horseshit calls that cost points needs to be addressed across many if not all pro sports but letting dirty dangerous plays go unpunished will eventually spiral out of control. Wilson raging out and taking a game, Brad Stewart targeted and injured, Kronwall huge clean hit suspended. Fix it. And the wannabe Disney script writes who are not looking at plays to figure what ACTUALLY happens should get called out. This is player safety and sportsmanship. If nothing happens why should I give two shits about Brady Ktchuk, who frankly I expect better from, his brother has some class, or Jamie Benn or anyone else giving cheap shots. NHL, any league. Enforce the rules in the spirit of the rules and protect players fairly without bias. Larkin is the only guy I've seen have a goal removed and penalized after 2 players handle the puck and it gets potted. Bottom line this type of stuff hurts the credibility of the game and anyone around it. Most disappointing thing about pro sports, without a doubt.

  9. Bush league Detroit fans booing Zub who was down from an insanely dirty crosscheck to the head from Perron. Mind you Zub was not even involved in Larkin incident. Truly showed their true colours, these fans are awful. Praying for Larkin, it was scary to watch
