i've always been a stickler when it comes to taping, i have always babied my sticks. if i made a video of me taping a stick, it would probably be twice as long as this one, time-wise. love that little twirl he uses on the upper shaft of the stick. i've done that on every hockey stick, since i was a kid. i don't recall exactly where i came across that method of taping but jack is right- it just gives you a bit more to hold onto.
My dad showed me the tape twirl as well, must’ve been a generational thing. I wax the shit outta my blades, feels like I can control the puck better; I could be wrong.
