  1. I see a lot of these type of videos, and there are always a ton of comments from people who have literally never seen Shane Wright play ONE game of hockey. They watch a few highlights on Youtube, and they're experts all of a sudden!! lol. I haven't honestly seen enough of him to know what his ceiling is gonna be, I have seen him play…roughly 6 or 7 times, and he has stood out in every game. I think Habs fans should be excited. It's been decades since we have needed a true center, and now we r pretty stocked for centers, we have Wright, Suzuki, Dvorak, Evans, and Poehling, plus a couple more comin up in the draft. Our D looks very good too, they 're gonna be a little young the first year or two, but after a couple seasons, the Habs are going to be a big problem for other teams. Go Habs Go!!! Draft in 55 days

  2. OK Phewwwww… I was worried there wouldnt be a new Shane Wright video on yt today. Go habs Go!!!!!

  3. Suzuki was better than Wright in his final season of OHL. This is why I think Wright should play one more season. If the habs do this, the race is on. If Wright plays for Habs he won't catch Suzuki. Everyone seems to underestimate Suzuki's ceiling. Remember he scored 114 points with 2 teams and then 42 points in playoffs leading his team to the memorial cup. If they leave Wright in the OHL for 1 more year he will tear it up and set himself up for rookie of the year in his first season with Habs. Let him play pre-season and 9 games so he can see why he needs one more year. His future will be bright. Play him now and you spin the wheel. Cheers

  4. Shane is gonna be better than Suzuki. Shane is more complete and doesn't have major flaws in his game. Better vision and hockey IQ.

  5. They will both fight to be captain, don't forget he missed an entire year of development, Wright is the real deal, and i think his ceiling is higher than Suzuki.

  6. i believe Suzuki is and will always be better than Wright. in fairness to Shane he is 4 years younger so he has time to develop but i just dont see him as an offensive player but more like a 3rd line dependable center who can contribute 20 goals a season.

  7. Don’t compare any nhl players to Wright, I just watched him play a whole series live in the OHL against north bay cuz my brother is on the team, he looks like a 3rd liner on his own OHL team, there is absolutely nothing special about this kid whatsoever. Shouldn’t even get picked in the first round, I had 5 games to watch him and he didn’t do a single thing 😂 Brian Mccabe is better than Shane Wright, makes me wonder if scouts even watch the games

  8. Also, Wright started the first 1/3 of the season playing with rookies instead of the "best wingers on his team" to help them develop/leadership stuff… once he joined the top wingers he was on a almost 2pts per game pace

I feel like Wright is gonna be slightly better than Suz, but not by much.

  9. Covid didn't help Wright. In the opposite of you I believe Wright have more first line potential than suzuki. Suzuki is already a good player in the NHL, but Wright in like 2 years can become a monster

  10. Not saying who will be better but I definitely agree on Suzuki. Even since well beforehand I knew his upside was massive.

  11. I see where you’re coming from but before the covid shutdown he was thought of as a potential generational talent & he sadly lost almost a full year of his development because of the lockdowns but I think he still has the high potential for be a consistent 80-90 & maybe even occasionally 100 point player in the nhl if he’s developed properly & continues to work hard which I think is more likely than not. It’s just a shame that he lost so much development time but I hope he can make up for it

  12. I've been saying that RNH is the floor on Wright for a while now. RNH goes under the radar because he's on a team that has McDavid and Draisaitl, but he's posted 528 points over 719 career games with the Oilers, for an average of 0.73 ppg or 60 points a season. That's not shabby at all, and that's with 3rd line minutes.

  13. I think we're going to have two extraordinary two ways centers for years. Both of them have exceptional hockey IQ. They're both very intelligent and exceptional people.

  14. Suz will be a better shut down guy. wright has a higher ceiling and will put score him. Wright and McDavid had the same points in the same games in the first 2 years in the OHL. Wright didn’t get a 3rd year so nobody really knows. The kid lost a full year to Covid

  15. Good vid. I agree with you. I've been talking about Nick's ceiling for a while now and it higher than most think. I watched this kid since Vegas drafted him. He should have went about 5th. His development in the OHL was very good and in his last season when Montreal traded for him he exploded offensively and scored 114 points on 2 teams plus 42 in the playoffs leading his team to the memorial cup. His NHL development is going the same way. I think he gets 70-80 points this year on a losing team. The following year he could flirt with 90-100. I think it's a no-brainer he does this especially if they get a high end left winger to put with Caufield. I know Wright will want to play but I think he should go back to Kingston and rip it up winning the points race. Then he will be ready and just as good as Nick or better. Maybe they could find a goal scoring winger for him in the meantime. Maybe Roy on the other side. Cheers
