  1. Did he really just commentate "He doesn;t even try and avoid contact"…???? Are you kidding me? What more can Paul Byron do with the D pushing against him??

  2. Why does it seem like every time i see a highlight i looks like the habs are getting screwed by the refs lmao, what did they do to them

  3. I hate all these stupid calls in the NHL lately. Goaltender interference is when a player touched or moves a goalie preventing them to attempt to make a save right before a goal. Where was he supposed to go in this situation? The defender pushed him toward the goalie and if he went right he’d go head first into the post. At least he jumped. The refs suck this year.

  4. What exactly is Byron supposed to do in this situation? Give up on the play, drop the puck and turn to go behind the net? This is NOT a penalty.

  5. I wouldn't call it a penalty. But I am going guess the thinking of the referee was even though he was being forced by the Dman to the outside he didn't have possession of the puck after trying to cut inside and instead of taking the route behind the net which would avoid contact with the goalie, he tried to poke the puck on goal continuing his trajectory into the goalies path, you can see the puck gets away from him as hes battling with the D and he made a last attempt to make a play. remember the onus is on the player to avoid contact with the goalie and since he didn't have possession is why it was called again this is just my assumption of what the referee was thinking.

  6. For those of you wonder why it’s a penalty, He lunged for the puck instead of backing off. This results in either Hughes backing off and allowing a breakaway or Hughes leading Byron into the goalie. It’s a penalty Byron could have avoided the collision by not going for the puck.

  7. I wonder how many times this season we’ll get to see Montreal fans whine about clear goalie interference calls

  8. Not a single Vancouver player goes after him?

Demko must love not having his team's complete respect.

  9. Wow.. Congrats to the NHL refs who is making the game look like minor league. How the he!! can the ref say thats golie interference

  10. Wow, that was such an incredibly dirty play by Byron, he clearly used the jedi mind trick to make the defenseman push him into the goaltender.

  11. The goalie was in the blue paint, if you hit him in that area that's goalie interference. Even though byron tried avoiding it that has to be a penalty.

  12. He cut to the net even though he didn't have a lane and crashed into the goalie. Refs and announcers got it right I don't know what the rest of you guys are watching. He didn't try to jump over the goalie either he went airborne when he crashed into his head.

  13. ''He doesn't even try to avoid contact'' Did the Canucks announcer went to the same school as Jack Edwards?? Byron stopped and tried to jump over Demko but could not avoid him

  14. Look at Hughes's hands, he held on to Byron's left arm/shoulder and pulled him into that lane

  15. I would say that it's against Montreal so it's normal…

But refs sucks everywhere in the league this season…

  16. Incidental contact for sure, but not worthy of 2 min in the box. Holmstrom should send a case of octopus for Byron to throw at the refs. And don't get me started about the talking heads calling the game….

  17. His only other option, aside from sticking with the puck and trying to cut to the slot for a shot on net, would be to go behind the net which would give Demko the ability to pass the puck and send Vancouver right back into his zone. I don't get it, cause he's trying to cut away from the goal while staying in striking distance of the puck and the D won't let him move.

  18. The refs in the Canadian division are smoking crack. Average minor penalties this season for an American team : 33 minutes. For a Canadian team : It's freaking 63 minutes !!!

  19. Such a bs call. How’s he supposed to try stop when the defence was holding him and pushing him. Typical Rogers arena reffing 🙄

  20. Dumb announcers… "clearly doesn't try to avoid contact"

AS ICE SPRAYS UP FROM HIM TRYING TO STOP…..

Seriously, fire these fuckin morons… I'll do it for 60k and save you some money. I'll at least be better than these clowns

  21. what is he supposed to do? hes going full speed at the net. hes not McDavid or Larkin, he cant turn or stop on the spot. if there was a call, it wouldve been for accidental contact, not a penalty. the refs definitely looking for trouble for Habs.

  22. Like Myers hit on Armia was legal. It is a joke the way they call. Look at Mtl vs league in number of penalties vs power play chances.
