I'm confident he would be a good move. He is a workhorse making 35-40 saves on a nightly basis. He can steal you games.
Please, no, Gibson hasn't been a good goalie in over five years and he's owed over $6 million a season for the next three. It's not wise to devote so much of your cap to a goalie who MAY be a slight upgrade but that's far from guaranteed.
