  1. It was dropped for a 5 to a 2 because Cousins hit Gudbranson in the shoulder, not from behind.

If Gudbranson wanted to fight Cousins, he should have squared up and not jumped him from behind. That was very selfish of Gudbranson.

  2. With how rough the game got in the 3rd period, and with half of the lights going out in the arena, it felt like watching a game from the 70s😅

  3. Player Safety, IMO, needs to step in and call out the refs for terrible jobs on reducing the Cousins hit and not giving Joseph 5/game as well. They are effectively greenlighting hitting defenseless players in the numbers

  4. greaves looks like the real deal if nothing else. guddy probably deserves a suspension for 1-2 games but i'm betting he gets just fined

  5. Gotta ask

Do they make EU SNES controller jersey's? Cause that one is sick but with the 4 different button colours it'd popppppp

  6. The minute they dropped it from 5 to a 2, you knew this was gonna be the outcome. Feels like this is the second or third game in a short period of time where the officiating has resulted in some ugly messes with players being hurt and nothing being done in-game to control the retaliation. I'd be completely unsurprised if Gudbransen gets suspended and Cousins, like Joseph from the Sens-Wings game, gets nothing.

  7. My understanding of the rules should have had the 2 minute penalty go first and then the 5 min. After the goal it was 5v5 so they must have put the 5 min first, then the 2, where the rest was canceled by the goal. Strange game all around.

  8. I live nearby Columbus and, even during the 9 game losing streak, I can't believe how many times i heard the TV guys get on various media outlets and say how close the jackets are and how good they are as a team this season. It's as bad around here as it is on the broadcast. Not to say all places are as brainwashed as they are but its a mindset that's humiliating in the grand scheme of things.

  9. A few things that settled the game and just killed any and all chances CBJ had:

1: Starting on time, yeah it's the last game of the week and a matinee to boot but Jesus Tapdancing Christ, what were those first shifts?

2: The sad excuse of a powerplay. You got 2 minutes from that Cousins tackle and then another 2 minute freebie. That's where you're supposed to score. Just no.

3: Gudy being a massive moron. Literally the worst choice to make there, you can get off scottfree from a lot of stuff or with a 2 min minor. I would have rather seen a headshot or a slewfoot over what ever faux code machoism that was. And the timing of it too, my god… When it's 2-2 or your in the lead, sure be a plug all you want but when you're behind by a goal in the third with a chance to tie it? No.

  10. As a Panthers fan, the Cousins hit was bad. I figured double minor. Gudbranson, who I love, HAS to protect himself better in that instance. He's much much bigger than Cousins so being that low that close to the boards is a bad idea. He then pretended he was dead for about 15 seconds and then rose like the Undertaker to try to fight Cousins. Cousins did deserve a fight later but that's not what Gudbranson did. There was no challenge, just a mugging and about 7 punches to a smaller player who was already down. He's going to be suspended. Anyone complaining about "turtling" is just pretending to be tough online because I've met Gudbranson, he's a freaking monster of a kid. If you were Cousins you would do the EXACT same thing.

  11. Just got home from the game… to start it off, the linesman hit Sillinger even though HE was in the way and this was just after a linesman (not sure if it was the same one) caused an offsides because they were in the way of the puck as they entered the zone and hit his skate and bounced out. The Gudbranson hit should've been 5 and all of the aftermath would've been avoided. He was slammed head first into the boards and a team mate should've stuck up for him but of course no one did so he took matters into his own hands. With them being down by 1, I don't think it was smart at all for him to go do that and cause a 7 minute powerplay but I can't say I blame him. I saw him chirping him the whole time in the box and I knew he was going to do something as soon as they were both back on the ice and it happened. Pascal should've benched Gudbranson for a while to cool off as I think everyone knew exactly what was going to happen. As a Columbus fan, I'm not surprised that the officiating seemed to be in favor of Florida most of the game but Columbus did not help themselves as usual. sigh

  12. Calling Cousins for “turtling” on the Gudbranson mugging is laughable. Gudbranson wraps his arm around Cousins neck and immediate body slams him into the ice and starts punching. Cousins was never given the chance to fight back unless you want him to break out some BJJ moves while laying on the ice.

    Your better than this man.

  13. Let's go Panthers!! 💖🔥🔥🔥 A nice pallette cleanser after last night's Tampa game. Yeah they won, but I feel they could've played better

  14. Was at the game and saw the whole 3rd unfold. I said to my friends I'm with "If Gudbranson would have stay down after that hit and didn't pulled off that WWE stunt, that would have stay as a 6 minute." You know after that call he will get his revenge back on way or another. The refs seriously dropped the ball there and could have prevented this from happening instead becoming a brawl through out the period. <smh>
