Canucks love this trade because cap space is worth a ton especially right now, 0 retained too. Big win for Canucks. Considering Chicago just lost Perry so they needed someone to replace him so it was perfect timing.
Obviously, the Canucks needed cap, but just because Beauvillier wasn't scoring a lot doesn't mean he wasn't doing good things. He was a -6 last year with the Canucks, this year so far, he's a +8. That's a pretty significant change.
He wasnt part of the canucks future ,the Canucks are bogged down with middle six wingers so it was a good move. Now Van can get some defensive help,win win.
with much needed cap space, the canucks will be talking to ethan bear. he's a RH d man and they liked his play before he was injured.
