It should of been a penalty for interference with no suspension cause other then that it was legal, no hit the head, not from behind, not blind side and he didnt guide his head into the turnbuckle on purpose and if he did so you can't tell……it was a hockey play and chara finished his hit and angled him out.

That is an intend to injure hit. Not expecting 10 game suspension but maybe 2 or 3 games to get rid of this. It does look like an accident but accidents can be bad. If you dont think its a dirty hit just count the amount of seconds after he touches the puck, more than three. He should have just put him into his bench:P

It was clearly a late hit. Thats a given, but "dirty?" it wasn't even that close to being dirty. All the damage is because of the absurd glass, therefore for it to be a dirty and really gross hit like those of Matt Cooke, one must figure that Chara's intent was to have himself involved in the be-heading of a fellow hockey player. And anyone see's that! … here!….from Zdeno Chara!, is about to have their mouth wiped by the pretty nurse right after MrLombats.
so romes hit wasnt dirty, but he got 4 games and chara 0. both were late hits, both injured players. according to the murphy guy who assessed 4 games to rome, the injury played a factor to the 4 games rome got, well chara injured him and got 0 games. then again colin had connections to boston and we clearly see that murphy got influenced with 4 games on rome. NHL is really bad at consistency

@canucksfanification really? what about the rome hit on horton? the burrows bite? how does it feel that your starting goalie was too scared to play in boston? how does it feel that your team smothers pucks in their defensive zone when trying to secure a victory. your fans destroyed your city. every team plays dirty, its fucking hockey.

This should've been a 5-game suspension. I'm big Bruins fan but this was unacceptable. Glad to see patches playing again, I was worried sick.
