You know dk he doesn't really do anything and he's a bottom 6 player. But in Edmonton Jesse did score 5 goals on 22-23 before traded.

Penguins would not accept change. Keeping letang and maulken. Now; they are suffering the consequences!!!

DK, I always enjoy your realistic, yet knowledgeable take on this team. That being said, it’s painful to say what I’m about to say. This team is done. This current Penguins roster is a 2 period team. Being in my mid/late 30s myself, it’s difficult to say these guys are playing like old guys but, they are. (other than Sid) We’ve been extremely fortunate to see such good hockey since 2007 and I won’t take that for granted but, this isn’t it. From how flat footed Geno looks late in games especially, to how slow developing the powerplays and zone entries are… It’s just bad, old guy hockey. I’ve always been critical of Jarry but he, and Ned are the only reasons this team isn’t 10 games below .500… Not sure what bringing in Jesse Puljujärvi is going to do (I know it’s a PTO albeit) but, I remember TSN reporting on him and saying he “has the brain of a goldfish” while in Edmonton. Maybe that’s what we need though. A guy who doesn’t, or can’t think just to go straight to the net on power plays and offensive opportunities. I hope and pray something changes because watching this team is truly depressing.
Puljujärvi is an absolute beast…incredible size and hands. I can see him scoring at will on the Sid/Jake line and mopping up rebounds/screening on the PP or I can see him being the immature underachiever he's been throughout most of his career and not helping us one bit. Huge chance for him to make a serious impact. I can see him really coming to life with the talent surrounding him here in Pitt…PLEASE take advantage of this opportunity.Jesse!!!
