Perron with a stupid, gutless, dangerous cheap shot.. targeting the wrong guy.. have some balls and drop the gloves if you want to "stand up for your captian "
Fake tough guy David Perron living up to his reputation. I hope the NHL makes an example out of him.
As much as I understand the ''why'' for the Perron reaction, that type of vicious cross-check to the face cannot happen. I understand that in this situation the temperature on the ice went up really quickly, and an escalation in player behaviour is expected, but within a reasonable limit. Perron was way over the line and a player who cannot keep his emotions somewhat in check when situations escalate is a very dangerous player and this is how serious injuries can happen. The NHL needs to make a statement that even in this type of situation with the shock of a motionless teammate, an escalation in violent acts cannot be tolerated whatsoever. Zub is extremely lucky to have not suffered a significant injury with his recent jaw and concussion issues.
I would want the Sens to avenge a similar act, but not with a vicious cheap stick infraction. You do it with your fists.

Hey Ottawa if you guys played every other team in the league like you guys play the Red Wings the last couple years, you guys 'might' make the Playoffs and 'might' win a playoff game!!!!! There's a reason your franchise has zero Stanley Cups, one Hall of Famer, and every All-Time Senator finishes their career elsewhere. Oh yeah and remember that the Greatest Senator of all time finished his career wearing the Winged Wheel! And keep celebrating when your owner dies and is forced to sell the team.
Anybody else feel like this is Ottawa’s biggest rival in the Atlantic? I love beating the crap out of the Leafs and the Habs as much as anyone, but with both these teams trying to make their first playoff appearance in so many years, the “who wants it” last year, and now this, blood is boiling between these two. Can’t wait until January for their next game.

Sens effort has been way better recently and their play in their own zone is more structured as well as tying guys up in front of their own net
I wasn't aware of the Gudbranson play until now but I fucking love that. Thats how you show a guy not to fuck with you, MacEwen tried the same shit on Tkachuk he's just too soft and got laughed at. I think Perron gets more games because it was a cross check to the head, dirty in any era of hockey. That was all fists from Gudbranson, once upon a time they would have suspended Cousins for turtling.
