The Sens have changed the way they are playing coming out of their own end. The forwards are back to help, there are layers of support in the event of a problem due to the opposition forecheck and they are using the middle of the ice more.
Still these games could go either way. Korpisalo doesn't make those saves and they could lose. Forsberg makes the save and they could win. Same up front. Finding the net helps a lot. So does the hockey gods taking a rest.
I want to believe that they're getting better.

Wings fans are well and truly unhinged in their response to this. Its wild. Sorry you guys caught flak, but just about everyone did. Amazed they haven't turned on their own team considering the players and coach agreed it was an unfortunate play with no ill intention.

The worst thing they ever did was put the Stop Sign on the back of jerseys. Taught kids that you aren't supposed to get hit from behind not that they could get hit from behind. I always tell the kids its Boxing Rules. Protect yourself at all times.
If an athlete holds a grudge, they're certainly not going to tell people about it, let alone the media. lol Nobody knows how to protect themselves, nor do they know how to play defense.

Vibration, frequency, energy matters, big time. For sure Alfie and Jacques have shifted the Sens vibe, and you can see it. It's pretty obvious. Jacques was visiting the team between periods for 3 games before he was officially hired. This team was clawing at the door for a new voice, one of the greatest defensive minds in hockey history is a great place to start. It doesn't take long, and under the right circumstances, it can happen immediately. Jacques is a teacher…he already has study rooms set up for the players, which they have never seen before. Jacgues, Alfie, Philly, Neiler, have unfinished business, and Martin admitted that on radio. The 71 year old man tells the team his only regret in a 45 year career is not bringing a cup to Ottawa, when they had the teams that could do it….. add to that everything else he brings. Would love to hear the boys talk about Austin Watson pulling an Alfie and slapping the puck directly at his opponent at the end of a game last week. He got fined for it.

Is there a 3rd Mike Hoffman that's not on hockey-reference? The only other one (besides the one we all know) stopped playing hockey the year before Bobby was born.
To repeat,"the Sens have changed the way they are playing". Players have taken more puck responsibility. You could see it in the Rangers game, TO's Woll stole that game for the Leafs but Sens were the better team., Against the Wings it was unfortunate what happened to Larkin but Joesph and Kelly were playing the way they should, and again the better team won. The Sens outshot the opposing teams in their wins.
