Sad to hear attendance is down when the team has been performing above expectations night after night
Jack Hughes, Mathew Tkachuk, Austin Mathews, Connor McDavid, and the whole Rangers roster will be absolutely AIR HOLIING this team before they even make the playoffs. This is the same team that makes Mika Z. Look like Pavel Datsuk every time he plays Philadelphia. 🤡🤡🤣😂
Another "retool" that puts us into the middle of the league at best.
For anyone intelligent enough to know this franchise is simply selling tickets and kicking the can down the road to building an ACTUAL Cup contending team,
this season is an absolute albatross of a loss.
They could've had a 1st rounder for Scott Laughton. 🤦♂️🤡
Those are the moves cup contending teams jump on and capitalize on.
This team is NOT good. When they beat The Rangers, Hurricanes, and Devils I'll pay attention.
Until then they are absolutely IRRELEVANT

I think they are still average in terms of talent. But while Torts isn't critical of the players that are gone, he does emphasize the importance of the tenor of the locker room. They have guys that listen and play hard. They also got rid of DeAngelo who now doesn't even play for Carolina. Getting rid of Provy has allowed Sanheim to emerge and DeAngelo minutes have been much better filled by a combination of Walker, York and Seeler. And while I didn't like it at the time, getting Tippett for Giroux was a very good move by Fletcher. It will be very interesting to see what they do at the trade deadline. Who will they trade and what kind of return will they receive. But let's acknowledge that with average NHL talent, they have beaten alot of very good teams and are clearly on a great path forward because of good coaching (PK improvement etc,), young talent emerging (Foerster, York etc.) and good contributions by new additions (Walker, Poehling, Hathaway). Who knows what happens from here, but this has been the best stretch for this franchise in a very, very long time.
They already have so many young guys looking legit. Cutter & Michkov could be high end. Two 1sts & two 2nds this yr. Likely more picks added by the draft. They don't NEED a top 3 pick to be a contender in 3-5 years.

Kaplan, Tuomaala, Ciernak. Two 1sts, two 2nds this yr. That's a pretty fricken good start to a cup level F unit. And if they lack a star go trade or sign one.
So basically the rebuild is done & they are just waiting for mad russian to come over & be final piece. Thats not pressure or anything on really young player.
