The Detroit Red Wings placed Dylan Larkin, Klim Kostin, and JT Compher on IR on Monday, and recalled Jonatan Berggren, Austin Czarnik, and Zach Aston-Reese from the Grand Rapids Griffins. AND David Perron was suspended 6 games. Despite this, the Wings had to go into Dallas against one of the best teams in the NHL. Given everything going on off the ice, the response and effort by this team was great. Losing 6-3, but down just by 1 at one point in the 3rd thanks to players stepping up and the depth scoring continuing to be a huge strenght. This time Sprong, Veleno, and Berggren were Detroit’s goal scorers. Unfortunatley, James Reimer was rough in net, allowing 1 if not 2 soft goals against. Including one that came with .2 seconds left in the 1st. Back at in St. Louis tonight. #LGRW

Crap on Perron. There's not on Ottawa player that I wouldn't of strangled if they got within a foot of me after that play. Going back to last year they take liberties with us! They will think twice now, I'll take 6 games for my Captain anyday! Instead of cross checking, he should of just pumbled him!!!!!
We need to make improvements on team D and whether we bring up Edvinsson or trade for a player like Noah Hanifin.with Calgary. it has to be done well before any trade deadline.
Watching Reimer more closely now,
it looks like he does flinch/duck his head in anticipation for every shot he sees.

Red Wings hype is the only above average anything about this team. Easiest 2 points available all season vs SJ and up 4-0 only to be outscored 6-1 the rest of the game. 2 SHG allowed on the same PP! That's just the other team playing harder, wanting it more.
Kind of expected to lose to Dallas, they’re just a superior team. But the two losses to bottom feeder teams before this were unacceptable. Even with Larkin going down against the Sens they should have put up more of a fight. I’ve been critical of Husso this season but truthfully none of our goalies are playing well rn and the defense (or lack of it) isn’t helping. Hate to say it but this team is still too inconsistent, I know we’re missing key players but we can’t keep having long losing streaks like this if we expect to make the playoffs

I was at the game. Wings looked slow and dysfunctional. Spent way too much time in the defensive zone allowing Dallas to move the puck anywhere they wanted. Penalty kill was awful tonight. Dallas played with urgency, Wings didn't match their effort level.
The rest of the season my number one thing the wings need to do is close out every damn period. I can't even count how many goals we have given up in the last 60-90 seconds of periods
Team stinks, Goalies are below average Lyon's the only one who's kinda ok and that doesn't say much. The team is soft, pushed around again by a dirty Ottawa team. Couple good games now and then but not much good hockey. Not a fan of LaLonde's brand of hockey.👎🏻👎🏻

Getting Compher back later this week would really help. Not likely against the Blues tonight's, but I'm hoping Thursday against the Canes… I don't believe the Berggren trade rumors, but he will have a great opportunity for at least 5 more games until Perron returns.
Hope they can resign Mr Kane to a 5 year deal so he can stay with the redwings
Kane looks good, but a lot of our players also need to get use to his deceptive passing techniques, a few times he’ll pass the puck and players aren’t ready, or can’t handle it. I’m sure that’ll tighten up, but then again passing in general needs to tighten up across the board with this team.
Dallas is a good team.

They're losing ground in the standings at a point where they're already running out of time to make it back. They're on a three game losing streak and it's very likely to get longer so that's why, yes it is unacceptable to lose this game to some degree.
Impressive loss? I don't think so. Jamie Benn mugged Larkin before you even knew who Joseph was. Repercussions? Zero. Benn knows the Wings will never answer the bell.

Besides goal tending, the biggest issue imo is the inability to move the puck out of the dzone. Ray had 2 really bad turn overs in b2b games that has directly lead to a goal against. Copp failed to clear on the first PK, DAL scores immediately after. Petry gets stripped down low and leads to a high danger chance. Multiple times the Dmen got the puck up to the forwards and the forwards couldn't get out of the Dzone. Not sure if its a decision making issue, or an effort issue.. probably some of both.
