I watched Bromberg at the Helenski cup and he was awesome but he also got hurt!
Bob has been in hockey at least 5 yrs – so surely he must be able to see that GM/KH had a golden oppty to improve the team. He had grit & scoring on the bottom 6 w Kostin or Bjugstad but instead over-pd McL $4.2m (2yrs) – surely he can see if 2 guys go into a room to bring out the Cup – he will not be the guy that even tries to grab it. Importantly needed to add a 6th scorer to the Top6 – so can have 2 lines… instead picked Brown who is a career 4th/3rd liner.. GM is a gambler/likes to wing it vs be strategic.. Kane worked out but Brown/Campbell did not… Fun team but missed an oppty to improve
Brown is doing good work on the PK. Maybe the powerplay is a more specialized skill but I disagree that anyone can kill penalties. Ask Evander Kane.
Who the Fk are Marner, Tavaras, and Matthews but a three some that have gone no where? Toronto media throwing shade on the Oilers is pretty pathetic. Which team has gone to the Conference final? Which team has lost to to the eventual cup winner?
