for comparison… monahan was shipped from calgary with a 1st just to clear 1 year left on his contract with 0 retention… now campbell has 3 years left after this and cant crack the NHL line up… i dont think a 1st round + a prospect with campbell comes close to what is needed to move campbell.. i think the oilers are stuck with him.
Campbell has been replaced by pickard who is saving the oilers $500,000 in cap space… No trade coming.

I don't think there's a trade out there that doesn't result in Oilers loosing at LEAST a first and having to retain 20% – 30% of that salary… half a decade of cap penalties is ALOT to ask for…

Mrazek has better stats this year than Blackwood.
As a long term Oilers fan i would trade campbel a first and broberg or petrov to get the cap off us. Or a different prospect as long as its not Holloway
