While they lost a big game against the Edmonton Oilers, they’ll have another challenge on Wednesday against the Boston Bruins. During the last five games, some players have been playing well. I think the Hischier line is one if not THE most complete line in the NHL imo.
Timo has been cold since he arrived to the Devils. He had 1 solid playoff series. 11 points in 19 game and -15. He sucks. And if he doesn't turn it around, hes gonna be one of the worst contracts in the entire league.
He is -15! Wrost from the Devils! he is on pace for like 20 goals. for 9 Million!

Timo has 2 even strength goals so far this year, The forwards that have appeared in more than a few games with less are Nate Bastian and Tierney. Timo is second worst at even strength goals against per 60. Basically he is not scoring at even strength and he is terrible defensively. But hey, do not complain, a puck almost bounced off this leg the other night and he almost got credited for an even strenght goal.
A genuine question to you all: if Toffoli is not traded at the deadline ( in case Devils are out if playoffs picture) what do you do with him next summer? Keep him and at at what price or let him go? And how much keeping Mercer is going to cost Devils next summer?
I'm so glad you mentioned the no call on McDavid. The NHL just does't have the guts to make a "roughing major" on a superstar. If the NHL wants the league to change make that call! Its all that simple with these penalties. (we missed Haula against Calgary) Palat did have Nemec's back but he is just way way too slow. Nemec also replies Hamiltons shot.. the dude is not afraid to shoot. Nico is our heart and soul!
I have been saying this, for the last two years, getting rid of Hamilton will make this team a cup contender because we will actually be able to play defense. If we could find a way to get Hamilton‘s contract off of our books and replace it with two 4.5 million dollar players, we will become a true contender
But that is not enough, we also need to find our self a solid, NHL coach with a real structure instead of this unorganized chaos. Until these two things happen, our team will not make any noise in the playoffs, if we even get there.
Whole team is very streaky and inconsistent end of story.
