I remember Coffey first few years and sometimes he made scary plays and non plays around the puck but he learned how and when to jump into the play and went on to be a great defence man . He has great communication skills and the players are listening.
For everyone that has been so critical of Bouch saying he has to work so much on his D, he's actually now #1 in Corsi Relative 5v5. He's actually creating nearly 7% more dangerous chances against the other team than he's giving up. Paul Coffey was never great at defence but I'd sign him up for his offence any day of the week and wouldn't spend so much time putting him under a microscope every day for the occasional defensive lapse.
Oilers just needed one good goalie to win the the hearts of the fans and win a Stanley Cup. For the sake of the fans, can we make that happen whoever runs the show? Skinner must GO to begin with.
