The Maple Leafs are an average team at best. What has kept them alive and relevant to date has been their offence. Because if they had to depend on their defence and goaltending, they would be toast. As it stands, they are 15-12 for the season. I said it before, this Leaf’s team needs to score 5+ goals a game to make up for its porous defence. While it can be okay during the season, it won’t work in the playoffs, when defence is king. Leafs are 1-2 core four injuries away from disaster. They have been fortunate so far that none of these dudes has gotten hurt , unlike Joseph ( CALL ME ) WAHHHLLLL. Until he comes back, they are going to have to continue scoring half a dozen goals a game to stay afloat. Good luck with that one.

On the note of being difficult to get into a leafs game, cost of admission is ridiculous. As a Van fan in the area it's cheaper to drive out to Buffalo than in Toronto. For what I can pay for row 2 seats, I can't get in the building at the Rogers center..by extension its cheaper to watch the leafs at key bank lol

If this team is going to win. People need to stop caring. There’s no urgency to win because people show up win or loss. They sell tickets and merch regardless of the on ice product. Unless people stop caring about this team they will never win

The second they made it 5-4, i just knew.
But seriously, I love this team. It doesn’t matter what happens, doesn’t matter what’s going on, the leafs never give up on a game. They fight for every point. Even today, 5-0 going into the third, sick, injuries up the back end, and a goalie who isn’t very good as of late, and I never gave up hope that they weren’t going to pull a miracle out of their butts to tie it up, and that hope was well founded. This team has grit and determination, and every team in the league should fear us, because if they don’t lock the game down like it’s nuclear war survival bunker buried under Fort Knox, if they give us a modicum of a chance to come back, the leafs will take it.
I look forward to seeing what this team can do when it’s healthy.
This flu going around this season has been terrible. So sick cant stay vertical, next day feel 75% better, next morning BOOM sick as a dog again. My whole family has been like this for weeks. I have no doubt the guys on the team are suffering.
Only thought is, if you go down 5-0 against a good team what happens?

As a Blue Jackets fan, yall deserved that win for taking it back. The jackets on the other hand, deserve to have all of their points stripped for how awful they are playing in the 3rd. This is at least the 5th time this season they have blown a lead completely in the 3rd
I was looking forward to the 5-0 video. Went to put the little one to bed and it was 5-2. Then I had a browser memory issue and didn't see the score again until it was 6-5 ot final and was like "OH BUDDY! This'll be a good LFR"
That was a pretty wild game. I agree that a mulligan is deserved. It's also possible that Sammy has some of that flu (hoping that's the reason).

Nobodys talking about how theres NO other russian on this team for sammy to really talk to. Im sure that makes his struggles even tougher, that and the fact that hes still young. Im sure lots of you have heard stories from imports playing in the KHL and how much it sucked. Well they always had atleast another american/canadian to talk to. I think sammy will find his game, but not as a leaf. This team obviously doesnt value him

I can’t take another 4,5,6 goals against Sammy. Sure the D gave to much gap, cause they are not confident with Sammy in nets. Play jones till woll is back. Sammy gets pine until someone’s injured. Frankly seeing him psychologically destroyed, I’d suggest robidas island. Reaves robidas and domi is mildly useless
If Steve survived the leafs losing to a Zamboni driver I wouldn’t be holding my breath for anything else putting him over the edge.

I was thinking about the future of Steve’s YouTube site if the Leafs ever just start winning games without all the dramatics. Would his videos be less entertaining? It appears unlikely that the Leafs will ever let that happen. You could tell they were sick just by looking at them on the bench. I've never seen them so winded before. Hats off to the 3rd period push, that was incredible given the circumstances
