  1. The STL fanbase isn't the classy of fans of years past. A lot of entitlement has taken over in that region.

  2. I think that kind of stuff from those fans is really tacky and uncalled for. I’ll always support Roozy. He’s so lethal when he gets goin! He’s gonna get there with teammates / fans / citizens who understand him and lift him up. Don’t ever forget that Winter Classic against Minnesota too. Awesome team-earned W tonight gents. LGB

  3. The people booing and coming in here to hate on him even more make me embarrassed to be a Blues fan. We’ve got to have the worst and dumbest fanbase in hockey

  4. CB moved too many players around with a quick trigger that hurt continuity. I get it that he didn't want to overload top line with Roto and Skyrou but… that's what top lines need to have. Plus, it might push Skyrou to play harder, be more engaging in game, and pay more attention when going against other top lines. Think about it. Putting either one of them on a 3rd line is not right. CB did this too many times with his lines. Let them make mistakes so they'll think about correcting them instead of demoting them and hanging their heads, imo. Believe it or not we're all humans.

  5. St Louis Blues fans are pathetic for this. The guy seems like a very genuine and passionate guy who loves to play there, and he gets booed for basically nothing? Go f*ck yourselves whoever booed.

  6. I think next game we have to cheer for him whenever he touches the puck. Just cuz youre mad at someone doesnt mean you stop supporting them. Lfg kyrou lets start this fire

  7. St. Louis sports fans make me sick. This guy could have done something criminal to your family and you'd applaud him for being honest. Yikes. This dude is the biggest POS in the organization since Keenan. Cry your fake tears Jordie. You have the power now, we see you. He wants a friendly coach, not a leader. He wants to be told he's doing so good on the potty. Dude deserves to get booed and deserves to get run out of town. Fake crying in a hockey interview over being a cancer is a new low. Sean Avery is having a field day with this mutt. Fire Army, trade Kyrou and eat some of the salary. This little femboy needs to go play lacrosse.

  8. Booing your own player over a next to nothing comment is pathetic. Maybe Kyrou and Berube butted heads. We don't see what goes on behind the scenes. People like to call Kyrou sensitive then get all butt hurt and make a mountain over a mole hill.

  9. He deserved to be booed. Kid needs to learn some respect. And if getting booed makes you cry, you're in the wrong sport son. Now let's get an Armstrong sucks chant going at the next game.

  10. He deserved those boos for sure. Chiefvis awesome and it is a shame they traded him. He was the wrong one to let go

  11. The “Blues fans” that boo’d a Blues player, you should feel like a foolish a$$hole. You didn’t know the context, hear the tone of the interview or anything. And you went and embarrassed yourselves and our fan base. Shame on you!

Kyrou I can only imagine how that felt last night and I am so sorry that happened. Please know that the reasonable, knowledgeable and die hard, true Blues fans support you. 💙 Hang tough 💪 You got this.

Thank you Blues coach and Blues team for having his back. The “fans” fell short last night.

  12. Hey Kyrou. How about back checking? There’s a reason that you had the second worst plus/minus in the league last year…

  13. I don't care if he cries in an interview or screams in an interview. I care that he gives effort and passion on the ice. But what I've seen is only an effort and pssion for himself.

  14. Jordan: St. Louis does not really care about your shooting percentage, your point totals, and truthfully, they do not care about your defensive coverage either or your quotes about an old coach. St. Louis has watched high performing forwards go dry at times for decades, watched Tarasenko and others fight with coaches, watched many forwards blow defensive coverages – it is a natural thing that happens to every single high performing forward. St. Louis gets all of that. In all of those times I recall 0 instances where a player was disliked – boo-ed.

    St. Louis cares about effort.

When you're taking ~10% of the salary cap, you need to provide the matching effort. There needs to be 21 other guys in that room WISHING they were working as hard as you – looking up to you as their motivation. You need to be a beacon for the team – you're getting the biggest slice of the pie. Of course you try, you're in the starting lineup of an NHL club, but "try" is nowhere near enough for the person taking 10% of the cap. The paycheck rocks, no doubt, but if you think there are not strings attached, you're incorrect. You cannot give it back, you're borderline untradable due to the pandemics impact on the cap, and they cannot cancel it. So…either be miserable for 8 more years or not? Its your bar to raise. We cannot raise it for you.

The above will never change. In 20 years the above will still hold as true as it does today and as it did 20 years ago.

  15. Classless on the fans’ part. The guy literally was saying what he was supposed to say. He didn’t shit on the old coach. Everything he said was about moving forward and just playing well as a team. I hope he ends up leaving and going to a city that appreciates him.

  16. When you have a public facing job like being a professional athlete, it's best to keep a public persona to avoid circumstances like this blowing up in your face. Doesn't really matter if I agree or disagree with Kyrou, why risk alienating yourself from a fanbase that obviously largely disagrees? Not a hill I'd die on. Hopefully this was a learning experience.

  17. Well everyone. Jk25 apologized. Let's move on and keep cheering for our boys. I think he learned a valuable lesson and showed him to mature. Good Job Jordo. Now, let's get this SH!T ROLLING BOYS!!!! LETS GOOOOOOO BLLLUUUUUUUUUUUUUUES.

  18. It’s nice to see I’m not the only Blues fan that is tired of Kyrou’s bs effort. The Boos are 100% deserved

  19. Proud 7 kyrou game worn collector here. Hopefully not the blues fan here who liked kyrou the whole time. 2nd round pick. Worked a lot up and down in the ahl and unfortunately missed the cup. He earned his long term after proving his talent. While he gets blamed for his plus minus. It's hard to say he doesn't care when he put up 37 goals and his defensive game has improved this year. My eye ball test tells me he is still one of the most electric offensive players to come through the franchise in the modern era and it's not worth giving up on him. 💙

The game has changed. Scoring is up around the league, refs are calling the game differently. A different style of play may be needed to match our team composition. Prob shouldnt be single minded on our style of play

  20. I'm new to this story, and it's hard to find anything about his actual original comments. The only article I could find, so did he just say "no comment, he's not my coach anymore" about his coach being fired? I don't understand why that's a "mistake" or controversy? Is every player required to have a public opinion on something like that?

  21. Firing Berube has had a very negative effect on the fanbase for sure, it's personally soured me on the franchise for now. I think it was a horrible move that just removed leadership and accountability from a locker room that is already at a deficit on both of those things. The roster is not put together well at all, Army needs to get his shit together and stop patching together pieces that don't fit. Ever since Petro left we've made a series of reactionary moves that have only snowballed our roster problems.

  22. what a whinny little punk horrible player with no defensive skills and cherry picks all game always one of the worst plus minus players in the league good luck going forward now that you are known as coach killer.
