Connor Bedard is a filthy animal for doing this

Connor Bedard scored an insane goal to open the scoring in this game against Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers. This video breaks it down further. #hockey #nhl #connorbedard

  1. People in the comments saying bedard is better than mcdavid, don’t be ridiculous, he still is insanely talented and will definitely score 40+ goal seasons but I don’t think he will match mcdavid and that’s just based off his size and skating abilities, he is a franchise player and could see similarities to let’s say Crosby or Matthews, but this isn’t a 150 point player (and yes I know he’s only a rookie) and everyone should be able to see that. Still a really solid shot and we will see him light the lamp very often, he deserves credit for his performance so far even if the NHL may have overhyped him (for marketing reasons as they should)

  2. Bedard can dangle, without a doubt. But McDavid is also bigger, stronger and faster, and has shown the ability to overcome tight checking by big, fast, strong defencemen and defensive forwards. As the years roll by I don't think it will be much of a contest between the two. McDavid was a factor for the entire game last night. Bedard seems to vanish after his goal. That's the difference between the two.

  3. People in the comments, STOP SAYING BEDARD IS BETTER THAN MCDAVID. McDavid is the most skilled player to ever play the game and might end up being the greatest player of all time by the end of his career. Now bedard on the other hand is definitely a future hall of famer but right now, at this point of his career, he’s not even close to McDavid..

  4. Show the clips where he had several turnovers, slipped leading to a breakaway, and McDavid pick pocketing him

  5. The kid's got a hell of a shot…regardless, you're gonna get a bunch of hater/juvenile/fanboys running their mouths about a guy who's been in the NHL a couple of months.

  6. He did this another time this season and several times in his pre-NHL career–so, not a fluke. Connor McDavid is a different animal, with a different skillset. McDavid beats Bedard in speed, while Bedard's release, accuracy, changing the angle, and speed are better than McDavid's. I would also say that Bedard beats McDavid in deking ability.
