The laws of probability reign supreme
Marchand has a better backhand tbh
Turns out getting a billion points doesn't lead to Stanley cups
He went from like #94 in goals to #7 in 10 games. I don’t cheer for Edmonton, I cheer for Mcdavid when I tune into their games and that is insane. He could hit like more than 100 points if he stay on this pace still. Calgary will beat them tho F the Spoilers😂🤣😜
"Technically", they got pumped for 5 in the third, which is bad enough. 2 were empty netters.
Still, this team's performance over the past 10 games, has earned it some leeway with the fanbase. Here's hoping this collapse will fuel them even harder.
This game just showed the goal tending issue. Any other day it's a win
Vasalevsky played lights out, skinner not so much. Can't win em all.
I actually I'm on other fence, win streak or not Oilers shouldn't have lost that game. Boiled down to Tampa having the better goalie.
Oilers absolutely outplayed Tampa, and by a large margin. It’s not even oilers defence. They only allowed 21 shots compared to 56. The goal tending is what dictated the outcome. If skinner was on Tampa we would have won 15-1
No luck involved. Tampas stars played better than the Oilers stars. Kuch out played McDavid. Stamkos outplayed Drai. Happens.
What's the winning streak reccord for a team?
Way to go skinner!
They just won 8 in a row did everyone think they win every game. Vasy is why Tampa won without him Edmonton would have won this easy. The oilers had 50 some shots on the guy any other goalie not named Vasy would have gotten lit up easy. Give Vasy credit as an oilers fan I’m not worried they will bounce back yea Skinner let in some ugly ones but when the other goalie pretty much stops everything it was bound to happen that Edmonton would eventually fallout of the game.
You think mcdavid cares about 1000th point. Nah he wants the cup! He cares about the team winning games. That’s what he wants!
I am NOT a fan of the Oilers, but I make it a point to watch everything I can about 97. The dude is the greatest player I have ever seen and I am 45. I put him ahead of everyone I have seen since the early 90s.
Johnny you clearly didn't watch the game. 57 shots on net last night vs TBay
No cold takes with clickbait titles allowed
It’s okay Vas played out of his mind.. Oilers play like this against 90% of the rest of the league they will dominate them!!
I wish the oilers management knew what the fuck they are doing. Most incompetent organiazation that drastically needs a overhaul. Its long overdue.
Yes, everyone knew the Oilers weren't going to win forever.
Oilers have had it pretty easy lately, this was the first strong team not on game 2 of a back to back.
To be honest, from what I saw, yes tampa was good but Vas rose to some ungodly level.
The Lightning are capable of damaging offensive power. Edmonton cannot win every game. You lose some. Its bad though when you lose on your own turf. Thank you Johnny Hawkey
Can you do a clip on Steven Stamkos #91 of the great Tampa Bay Lightning. This veteran player deserves some recognition.
Omg hockey media is so dramatic
Vas stole that game
Connor McDavid will always be remembered as a great Hockey player. He gets all my respect.
They outshot the TBL by 30 shots and lost. Skinner had a bad game and Vasi played out of this world!
If McDavid had an injury, then where was Leon to lead the rest of the team? If it takes one guy to drag a team to the bottom, then you know you have a serious problem with depth AND why did Leon get such a free pass for barely scoring during the time McDavid was battling something?
Janmark had a golden point blank opportunity to put the Oilers up 4 to 3 and passed it! 🙄 Then Tampa went up 4-3 when Kucherov made Ceci look like a pylon. And Skinner reverted back to sieve on the same play. If Ceci had just taken out the man like they teach you from eight years old on, no goal there. Nobody knows how to body check anymore. And to lose a game where you get 57 shots and the other team gets 22 shots when you have a lead in the third period is utterly disgraceful! Those are the ones you regret later in the year when you don’t quite make the playoffs.
Vasey was unworldly, and Skinner let in some bad ones. The team played so well, if they play like that in every game they win 99 out of 100 times. Bad goals happen sometimes. Disappointing loss, but hard to be too upset after 8 straight and with that solid performance.
ANY team that lets in 7 goals, isn't going anywhere. Oilers fans, nothing has changed regarding their biggest issue. Build team defense! This entire video is evidence that everyone is looking at the wrong things.
Mcdavid last night moved into 3rd place all time in points per game behind Gretzky and Lemuiex
The 8 game win streak put that idiot Holland back into hibernation mode. I really wish that Jackson would just fire him outright and get it over with. He won't be GM next season regardless. Install someone who will at least attempt to address the goaltending problem.
This season stinks of the 2005/2006 regular season. The goaltending has been absolutely inexcusable. You shouldn't have to score 4 (in this case more) every night to win a game.
The Oilers finally played against a good team and were shown why they are still not cup contenders
You poked the Oilers too much. Now we're out for blood. This team is far from done this season, and McJesus is leading the charge full barage. His heart and soul to the cause!
Come on, you put 57 shots on goal, to the other teams 27. Nine times out of 10, you win that game. The score was 5 to 4 and the Lightning scored 2 empty net goals. The Oilers could have tried to tie it up without pulling their goalie, but they took a chance leaving their net open and it didn’t pay off. The fans were not upset because the Oilers played another great game. It didn’t work out. That’s the story.
hows the goaltending looked for the oilers? don't watch any of their games
Not to mention they got goalied
2 empty netters. Goaltending just wasn't there last night. Plus Vasy had one of his greatest ever, it's a meh, don't really care. Tampa was lucky.
Funny how my comment is #98. Clicked here on comment #97. Go Oilers! Maybe my comment was #97. Even better. I win!! Lol
The difference in this game was that oilers didn't have a Vasilevsky.
Even though the Oilers lost its not that they played horrible, that games was some of the best hockey I have seen them play, it’s just some unfortunate goals that should have been stopped by skinner
I miss Hyman so goddamn much
Lets talk about Stuart Skinner. Its like he is a different goalie since the Oilers chose wisely to send their money goalie down to the minors. Campbell I suspect will probably be bought out this summer. Where as Skinner? He seems to be much better knowing he is no.1. What a confidence boost.
So happy to see McDavid back .
I think the cup is theirs if they can get a goalie. Watching that team play last night. Man…. They are right there, they just need goaltending.
McJesus finished 2nd to a Greek god yesterday.
vaseline-y was greasy last night..stole that game for TB holy shit. I can't be mad about how the oilers played, they played really well.
i thought this vid was gonna be about the oilers goaltending letting the team down again
