Marty Biron on Roberto Luongo, the Canucks play and more
TSN NHL Analyst and Former NHL Goaltender Marty Biron joined the guys and shared his thoughts on the Roberto Luongo ceremony, the Canucks play to start the season and more.
I grew up in Chilliwack. That's 15 years of my life I'd like back… Though late 80s and early 90s Chiefs games were $6 and always entertaining. I even played floor hockey with a couple of them prior to their emergence on BCJHL teams.
Also, Chilliwack is my favourite band from Abbotsford.
in 1969 i met a girl at the beach at harrison lake and we hit it off. we decided to go have a beer or 2 as it was very hot. she was from chilliwack so we went to a pub there. i put a quarter on the pool table to play a game. she told me that one of the guys was bill henderson of chilliwack. i shot 2 games with him and i've never met a more grounded humble guy in my life. this guy was a super star but he was wearing faded old blue jeans (i guess we all were) a very old t shirt and he looked like someone looking for a job. the girl was bunny hohn. hope you are doing ok, girl.
Really great q&a about the Canadian goaltender situation. For years a strong point with a line-up of choices but now in a best on best, Canada is at disadvantage against US, Sweden, Finland, Russia et al. Also, as low as I am to pointed out, the US national development program has been really great at turning out ready-to-go players while Hockey Canada seems to just jump from crisis to crisis.

9:26 *Quebec Maritime Junior Hockey League.. lol (yeah yeah, that's brand new)
10:30 Maybe Marty B should spearhead the changes needed for Canadian goalie development. That was well said..
Sorry, I for one believe that Lou shouldn't be up there. What did he bring the Canucks.
