You're exactly correct calling them mid…Where you go off track is saying you thought they were cup material based on the acquisitions to start the season. I saw their D at the beginning of the year & said: "Leafs are toast." Brad really flippin lied through his teeth when he said bolstering the D was his priority. They won't get far without some clutch moves.
I like Laggeson and Benoit..Tanev is the same age as Brodie and gets injured (see his history). I'd prefer a younger D than him..be patient, more D will come available

Andrew with all due respect, Tanev is a few days from turning 34. We need a legit Muzzin replacement. Muzzin was 29 turning 30 when he came here. 4 years younger than Tanev, and didn’t have half the injuries Tanevs had. It’s time to look at longer term options, especially if we’re talking giving away assets

I liked what you had to say to until you said the Leafs didn't step up for Liljegren. Liljegren has never stood up for a teammate. Why should anyone stand up for a guy who would never do it for them? Liljegren got the response he deserved.

No Connor Timmins is an up coming defencemen and Chris Tanev is Injury prone at 34 years is not the way to go maybe best at 27 or 28 years of age that has good experience at this age and lest prone to a lot of injuries at this time then Tanev is going thru and he defintely not a first Round pick and free agent next year with no term on his old contract.
Brad was not lying trying to upgrade the defenceman to be better because the good US teams and teams out west do not want to give the leafs defence to be better at a reasonable cost and to be cap compliant by the trade deadline and its not that easy to make trade for defence to make them better at this time before Christmas but played pretty reasonable by the defenceman they have of putting up points by playing more aggressive and tougness by 3 of their defenceman at this time which was good for their development down the strecht toward the playoffs for their depth on Defenceman.
The You tube money of the money making podcasts has to quit because it killing the media of trades for the leafs and please get another Job of other apects of life because we have way too much Media killing the Francise Leafs to do better on the leafs roster and you are not Managers so do not waste your time dreaming up trades that will not happen.
