  1. Skinner defenders are really missing the point as to what happened against Tampa Bay. We hit the 55 shot mark and we still lose? with 30 less shots on our net? That's the point. That can never ever happen with any NHL goalie. Skinner knows that. That's why he practically apologized for his horrible asleep at wheel effort. He was not focused or alert. His nerves got the best of him. He knew keeping this streak going was like winning a playoff game. Just like his nerves got the best of him in the playoffs last year. He looks confident as hell in press interviews, but suffers from performance anxiety in the net when the stakes are high. Some may argue Campbell is driven by adrenaline and performs better when the stakes are high..the exact opposite from Skinner. Back to Skinner. An apology to the fans may make him a better person, but unfortunately it won't make him a better goalie.

  2. Skinner is not a starter. During that streak, he played some good games, but he was also saved from the day by the Oilers firepower, rather then saved the day. Get Pickard some starts already!! Find out what he is and what he's got before Management way overpays for another God only knows who. I don't pretend to be a good hockey mind, but I'd hope that would be common sense at this point.)

  3. Man…. you can tell some fans only watch the OIlers play. Every goalie will have these days in the league. Skinner will continue to grow. Let's go!

  4. Blame Skinner if you want but Oilers only scored 1 goal 5 on 5 . They are still not producing 5 on 5 when they play a team that can score. I am wondering if the team can play against teams that have more depth on the bench. Oilers can score on the Power play 8 out 10 tines even against great goal tending . But 5 on 5 is still suspect at best.

  5. They got goalied , plain and simple . 54 shots , they dominated . Skinner is a backup goalie but Edmonton doesn't have a good starter .

  6. They got straight up goalied. 50+ shots on goal 8 wins out of the last 10 games I'm happy with that

  7. Dude is straight up with everyone very refreshing to see unlike Woodcroft who thought he was smarter than everyone. I can see how that might rub off on the players and connect with them instead of trying to play head games with people and heā€™s so even keel like nothing rattles him.

  8. Well spoken and positive. Stu taking in how good Vasy is will only make Stu be as good as Vasy. Stu is a young goalie and will take this game as a learning experience to have a long successful career like Vasy
