Hunter Gatti helps Utah Yard Dawgs 9U down Oklahoma Ruffnex 4-0
Hunter Gatti went 2-3, helping Utah Yard Dawgs 9U to a 4-0 victory over Oklahoma Ruffnex on Friday.
He singled in the third inning and doubled in the fifth inning.
Oklahoma Ruffnex couldn’t get anything going as long as Tegan Melanson was pitching. Melanson held Oklahoma Ruffnex hitless over five innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out five.
Utah Yard Dawgs 9U never surrendered the lead after the first inning, scoring one run on an RBI single by Demitri Diamant.
Utah Yard Dawgs 9U piled on two more runs in the bottom of the third. The inning got off to a hot start when Gatti singled, bringing home Taylor Engh. That was followed up by Diamant’s single, scoring Coltyn Thomas.

Oklahoma Ruffnex has a New Team and they most of the Kids on the Ruffnex also play for another team called the Braves. And they are going to the World Series.
