agassi did give Nadal and Roger a run then he retired, he had the best returns of all time then, probably second now after Novak.

This was Nadal's breakout year. It was apparent that the kid is becoming unplayable. Agassi was 35 and struggling with back problems but he still put on a good show. I have great respect for both, they're my two favorite players of all time. Nadal is now 37 more or less in the same stage that Agassi was when this match took place. How the time flies…

I love watching generational players squaring off. One at the beginning of their career, the other at the tail end. And to go back and realize that the degrees of separation across the decades is really not that much. For example… Alcaraz vs Nadal. Nadal vs Agassi. Agassi vs Conners. Conners vs Laver.
Nadal is playing crazy good in this match.
