  1. agassi did give Nadal and Roger a run then he retired, he had the best returns of all time then, probably second now after Novak.

  2. > Pete retires.
Agassi is like, I was unlikely to face one all-time great, no way am I going to have to face another.
    > Rafa and Rodger have entered the chatroom.

  3. Lots of similarities between this game and the final between Alcaraz vs Djokovic (Wimbledon 23)…if time traveling is possible, the Serbian will beat Agassi both aging 35 years old very easily, but Alcaraz in the future will be something the world has never ever seen before ..

  4. This was Nadal's breakout year. It was apparent that the kid is becoming unplayable. Agassi was 35 and struggling with back problems but he still put on a good show. I have great respect for both, they're my two favorite players of all time. Nadal is now 37 more or less in the same stage that Agassi was when this match took place. How the time flies…

  5. Just how slow these courts are man…. U really want to see a fast high octane match, watch federer vs Agassi, round Robin 2003.nailbiting, fabulous hitting.

  6. I love watching generational players squaring off. One at the beginning of their career, the other at the tail end. And to go back and realize that the degrees of separation across the decades is really not that much. For example… Alcaraz vs Nadal. Nadal vs Agassi. Agassi vs Conners. Conners vs Laver.

  7. Beating a past his prime Agassi was no easy feat…AT ALL! Shoutout to a young Rafa pulling it off. 😅🎾💪🏾

  9. Wow. I had no idea that Agassi was still playing completive tennis in 2005. He was 35. Nadal was only 19.

  10. No one hits the ball as fast as Agassi, and no one spins the Nadal ball as much.
Their matchup is one of my favorites as it is one of the most unique matches on tour.

  11. That was just stupid.
Agassi was moving him all the time and nadal never gets tired. All it took to nadal was one winner and agassi had to hit like 5 in a row.
The difference in physicality was just to great

  12. Sorry folks, but Agassi in his prime, at his best, beats Nadal regularly… Great points, for sure, but a younger Agassi, in shape, and ready to play, beats Nadal..
