And Dahlin has about 6 inches and 25 pounds on the rat face haha. Like you said there's no significant pop backwards on Dahlin's part to cause injury, solid hit.
one possible righteous check by Marchand does not excuse a career of cheap and dangerous checks and interference by him. He and his style of play is why i do not watch hockey anymore …he should not be in the league nor should the NHL management that allows and even promote this kamikaze and cheap shot style of hockey.
As a Bruins fan who has watched Marchand's entire career to this point, I can confidently say that his response to this hit showed it was perfectly clean and legal. If its even close to crossing the line with him, he won't let it slide, so the fact that he got right up, grabbed his stick, and started to skate away proved to me that he saw no issue with it at all. The teammates came over and started the scrum, to stick up for their captain who got hit hard, but he wasn't going to fight about it.

Play of the year?
Didnt see anything else?! He shoved his balls in his face 😂
If he touches the puck or shows “possession” in some way, does that change the contact?
I can’t remember what constitutes possession in the NHL these days…
Good check. Established body position to play the puck which he could have done easily if he stayed on his feet.

They need to take into consideration who the hit is on when making suspension decisions. Most hits on Marchand should be considered clean.
Nothing. The guy with less mass fell down.
There is absolutely NOthing to see on this play.
I love when Miro Heiskanen does this same exact thing and opposing players find themselves on their asses real quick!
Play the rest of the clip, Rasmus elbowed Marchand once again in the head as he was getting up.
I think Marchand deserves a suspension for this one
This is the state of hockey. A nothing hockey play warrants this discussion.
